Made in 2019, I used the Lego Ideas green spacesuit and the new Lego Movie 2 Spaceman helmet painted in New Shamrock Green.
I didn't know Jim Spaceborn. leafing through it I saw that there are CS spaceships and I tried to remake them. The Blacktrons are also interesting.
A modern update of set 6890 "Cosmic Cruiser" aka "Delta 1 Explorer and Shuttle," primarily inspired by a Space Police 3 sketch model built by Mark Stafford in 2007 or 2008, which in turn reminded NilsOBrix of the Cosmic Cruiser in a comment. Original here:

The Cosmic Cruiser is harder to update than the 918/924/928 series, because so much of its identity derives from its functionality rather than its shape. The mini scooter inside the larger spaceship, which itself is still small and swooshable, is a fun idea, but I don't like some aspects of the original set. The main rocket motor is way too big for the scooter, and with the scooter removed the spaceship is an immobile shell. With the scooter in place, the cockpit is anything but airtight, and the scooter rattles around as if it's about to fall out.
In this update, I wanted to keep the size and shape of Mark Stafford's sketch model while adding Cosmic Cruiser play features. I also wanted the Cruiser itself to still be flyable without the scooter - perhaps it can operate autonomously to come pick up the scooter if the scooter runs out of gas. That meant the scooter had to have a separate, smaller engine and the Cruiser had to have a set of retractable landing gear separate from the scooter. That also required the main engine and the rear fuselage to all swing up on the same hatch, which became too heavy to trust to the hinges used. It was then a bit of a challenge to come up with locks to hold the hatch in the open and closed positions. The hull color had to be red because a critical wedge piece is not available in blue.
The scooter is smaller and more boring than I would have preferred, but it fits neatly in the shell of the Cruiser with a docking mechanism that's a little bit more sophisticated than simply leaving studs on top, and the cockpit is airtight. As an homage to the original set, the scooter is built around the current standard automobile base, just like the original was. Unfortunately, I couldn't find room for the scooter to carry the standard set of tools (radio, spanner, space gun).
LEGO #6956 M:Tron Stellar Recon Voyager or
Rescue Star Cruiser, from 1990
New video up on YT: youtu.be/oUNsrVnlAKs
Not sure who designed this, but a good chance Jørn Thomsen was involved
Great M:Tron prints. Strange fence lattice elements. Cool ribbed convex corner panel
And loads of space bits and trans neon green

Another variant that came together reasonably easily was White. This should be a purist pleaser as it's possible to be part accurate owing to the homemaker oven switches being available in the only other colour it comes in!
This is a proxy (if it's called that) of an X-1 Patrol Ship (6861). I much prefer it in the original delicious gray, but I didn't have much gray pieces left at the time I built this (I had rebuilt most of my old Classic Space stuff).
The wings are probably from a Galaxy Commander (6980) which I haven't rebuilt yet. I'm not much for big-ships because I think they are often whimsical and lack functions and details despite their size. I didn't have the supports in white, and I ran out of gray ones when rebuilding the Beta-1 Command Base (6970).
The black round base is from a Discovery moon landing set which I bought during a fluctuation in my dark age period. I think they sell a tr.green 2x1 brick in the Lego store now, but I forgot to get one when I ordered.

A rather oldish MOC I built last year but didn’t publish at flickr before. I do it now to join the starfighters group :-)
For pure classic spaceness I solely used parts that were produced and available before 1987.

Adapted from the original with the same rules as my other Wolf Leews adaptations: no mixing vintage and modern parts, only use real part/color combinations, somewhat different greebling.
The Brothers-Brick really liked ZCerberus's Galaxy Explorer, so they blogged it. I really like it, so I built it in Studio. It looks quite complex, but it's really quite simple - all the fancy tricks are on the outside. Well, except the tricks needed to build the underside. As usual, I had to make that up all by myself because ZCerberus didn't post any picture of the bottom of his build. Because he didn't post pictures of the interior of the cargo bay, I didn't bother kitting it out with a lot of clips and tools either. Original here:
Double feature of 1997’s small droid ships, the V-Wing and Cyber Blaster enter the LEGO City!
These tiny old sets were heavy on cool intricate prints. All about the minifigs here, but the V-Wing has some really fun classic space elements and shaping!
‘97 picks up with leg printing, which hadn’t been seen in a space theme since ‘94s Spyrius droid, Major Kartofski. And we’ll see leg prints on their human counterparts next time I look at RoboForce.
Happy to have both the Techdroids from this theme back in my collection, which Techdroid do you like better- red or blue?

1997’s Robo Stalker, another Mech from the strange RoboForce sub-theme!
I’m kind of a fan of the space robot goblin in striped pants, vaguely reminds me of a Beetlejuice getup? Idk, but I dig it.
This set has some seriously unique space elements and a few familiar. This set stands strong as a part’s pack, but it has enough originality to merit its own existence in any retro space collection
Good consoles for both drivers, great transparent orange elements, and even a cool sticker over the torso windshield
This set has all the prints and printed legs for the minifigs, super deluxe for ‘97
Each pilot of the orange faction of RoboForce shares the same face (previously used in Aquanauts’ sub-theme), which is an odd choice considering how many different elaborate prints were used in these sets
The detachable head/craft is good looking, with that large Exploriens’ element for a cockpit, adjustable wings, and two storage containers
More Retro Space LEGO sets to be featured soon..

“Don’t Chrome crying to me that this isn’t a full ring!”
The 4x8 wedge/wing with 1x1 notch/cutout otherwise known as 3933 & 3934 (the original classic space wings) are available in 16 colours.
Let’s forget the chrome wings that came in the #10026 ‘UCS’ Naboo Starfighter from 2000. The price per wing is enough reason!
