Inicia sus estudios musicales con el bombardino y el piano en la Escuela de Música de la U.M. de Muro, para continuarlos en los Conservatorios de Alcoi y de Valencia. Estudia Dirección de Banda y de Orquesta con los maestros Jan Cober (Holanda), Eugene Corporon(USA), Karl Österreicher, Hans Graf y Yuji Yuhasa (Austria) y Georges Pehlivanian (Eslovenia).

Es director asiduo de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Albacete desde 2001, principal director invitado de la Orquesta Sinfónica UCAM de Murcia y de la Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa de Oporto, así como director de la Orquestra de Vents "Filharmonia" y profesor de Dirección de Banda en la ECM "Vall d'Albaida". Desde 2009 es Director Artístico de los cursos del Istituto Musicale G.A. Fano de Spilimbergo (Italia) así como profesor invitado del ISEB de Trento (Italia) y del Plan Nacional de Música para la Convivencia del Ministerio de Cultura de Colombia.

Es compositor de diversas obras de cámara, sinfónicas, corales y música incidental para teatro, así como del musical "Balansiyyà". Ha escrito obras por encargo de solistas como Spanish Brass L.M., Luís González, Juan C. Matamoros, Ximo Vicedo o Steven Mead. Asimismo, es invitado regularmente a participar como jurado en concursos internacionales de composición y dirección en España, Colombia, Eslovenia, Italia, Suiza o Portugal. Tiene grabados 20 CD's de música de banda para los sellos Audiart, RTVE, FLOC, TABALET o DE HASKE.

Está en posesión de la "Batuta del Mtro. Tomás Boufartigue" distinción otorgada en La Habana en 1991. Es ganador del Primer Premio en los Concursos Internacionales de Dirección del WMC de Kerkrade (Holanda, 1997) y de la EBBA en Birmingham (Inglaterra, 2000). En 2004 es galardonado con el Premio EUTERPE en las categorías de Dirección de Banda y de Composición de Música para la Fiesta otorgado por la Federación de S. Musicales de la C. Valenciana. En 2010 recibe el Premio Nacional de Música "Ignacio Morales Nieva" otorgado por el Festival de Música de Castilla-La Mancha.

Desde enero de 2015 es el Director Titular de la Banda Municipal de Música de Bilbao.

On October 20, The U.S. Army Strings and members of The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps presented a recital of music from the Thomas Jefferson Library. Music of the Baroque and Early Classical periods by Corelli, Vivaldi, and Handel were performed on period instruments in the Old Post Chapel on the Ft. Myer side of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall.
