The Bucyrus Erie Class 3 Dragline sits in the Lions Park at the entrance to Coleambally. One of 4 imported to Australia in 1935 from the USA to excavate the main channels in the Murray Valley. Following the completion of the Mulwala Canal they were "walked" from Deniliquin to Coleambally in 1958, thats 161kms at 3kph. On completion of the Coleambally Irrigation Area in 1978 it was moved to the Lions Park and is still in working order.
