Nendoroid Mai Shiranui
Mai Shiranui is, of course, the scantily clad, buxom, flame wielding, fan tossing counterpart to Chun Li in the SNK universe. Her most titillating feature, back in the day, was her ability to pull an endless supply of fans out of her bosom. Since '92, her powers and of course proportions have been interpreted by several different artists, each bringing something new to the table. Sadly, I have to say that between Chun Li and Mai, Chun Li is probably more relevant when it comes to actually kicking ass these days.
My favorite rendition of Mai would probably by the one by Nishimura Kinu, the artist behind the Super Street Fighter character designs I believe, and featured for the SNK vs. Capcom series.
Sadly, as a result of adulting and getting married, my somewhat triumphant Mai collection was whittled away to nothingness, with nothing but fond memories and old photos. Having two daughters just was another nail on the coffin because, with the exception of like one costume in KoF Max, there is no such thing as a G.. or hell, even PG rated depiction of Mai.
Until now... mwahahahahaha!
Back in 2017, for whatever reason (maybe it was the release of the new KoF game), all of a sudden Mai became relevant again with several companies releasing figures and statues and whatnot, including GSC through their Nendoroid line. Sadly, while there was a Figma Kyo, nothing else seemed to have come from that particular endevour.. here's hoping Storm picks up the slack.
Nendoroid Mai comes with several expressions, flaming tassels, regular tassles, and a variety of fans/limbs to simulate a variety of her fighting techniques, including her Fan Throw, Flaming Tail, and of course Ninja Bee Desperation move.. sort of.
OK, it's more of her normal rolling special, but a boy can dream!
The figure, as expected, look fabulous, with the high level of QC in tolerances, decal work, and paint apps delivered. I suppose the weak spot, as there is always one, is the fact her hands don't actually hold the damn fan particularly well, which is what happens when you have Homer Simpson proportioned hands.
I can't be the only one who saw the episode where his hands were too fat to dial 911.
So that was the mini review on Mai Shiranui. Another solid addition to the Nendoroid line, if you're into that sort of thing. If not, then there really isn't anything that can be said that would sell you on it anyway.
This is the Bridford Mews facade of 10 Weymouth St, which has recently been refurbished an extended. I've not enhaced these pictures at all in Photoshop.
The facade is completely different to anything I have ever seen, and I think I like its imagination, creativity and innovation. What do you think?

Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation and the Dallas Cowboys Women’s Association (DCWA) host Fashion’s First Down, a charity fashion show featuring the women of the Dallas Cowboy.
Chaired by Candice Romo, the fashion show is part of the Women’s Association’s year-round work to better the Dallas-Fort Worth community. The evening will be emceed by local news anchor Meredith Land and Cowboys Legend Darren Woodson. The runway show will feature 18 DCWA members showcasing the designs of local fashion artist Nha Khanh, styled by The Clad Life and directed by Jan Strimple Productions all in an effort to raise vital funds for women and children in crisis.
Built in 1894, this limestone-clad Gothic Revival-style church stands along Warsaw Avenue in Cincinnati’s East Price Hill neighborhood. Built to house a congregation organized in 1868 at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary, once located in the eastern part of Price Hill, the first church was built in 1870, and between 1886 and 1894, was replaced with the current structure. The church, the oldest of Price Hill’s Catholic Churches, features two octagonal belfries atop square towers with tall spires and pinnacles, gothic arched windows, a spire over the crossing, an adjacent rectory in the same architectural style connected via a curving breezeway, and several school buildings to the rear, the oldest of which was built in 1904, which presently houses the St. Lawrence Catholic School. The church remains an active anchor in East Price Hill.
The ivy clad Bear Hotel in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. The 13th century hotel appears in several Inspector Morse mysteries. The hotel's conference rooms are in one of Woodstock's famous glove factories in which gloves were produced for royalty.

Host plant families of 16 major yponomeutoid lineages.The cladogram is simplified from figure 2, annotated with predominant growth form of host plants (‘W’ for woody plants vs. ‘H’ for herbaceous plants). Fractions below yponomeutoid taxon names denote host record completeness for genera and species (in that order), calculated from the number of genera or species with host records relative to the total number of known genera or species. Host plant families used by each lineage are denoted by gray cells showing the numbers of species feeding on that plant family. Symbols denote the dominant growth-forms of each plant family: shaded circles = trees and shrubs; open circles = herbs; and shaded stars = veins and lianas. Capital letters next to host plant orders denote membership in clades above the order level: A – magnoliids, B – commelinids, C – fabids, D – malvids, E – lamiids, F – campanulids, G – Gnetophyta, and H – Pinophyta.
50% majority rule consensus cladogram for all 88 species based on the nuclear gene 18S.Node labels give posterior probabilities. Branch lengths are not meaningful. Clădirea a fost construită în perioada 1897 – 1899 după planul arhitectului Dumitru Maimarolu, având iniţial menirea de a găzdui Prefectura Judeţului Argeş. Situat în strada Armand Călinescu nr. 44, imobilul a fost realizat arhitectural în stilul academismului de şcoală franceză, stil eclectic adoptat de multe clădiri publice de la noi la sfârşitul secolului al XIX- lea, ce apela la repertoriul formal al antichităţii clasice greceşti şi al renaşterii franceze. Localul cuprinde un demisol înalt şi două niveluri, fiind construit într-un plan simetric, în forma literei U, în centru prezentând holul de onoare pe spaţiul ambelor etaje, având elemente decorative ale arhitecturii antice greceşti, cum sunt coloane ionice şi compozite, canelate, fronton triunghiular deasupra intrării, cu basoreliefuri simbolice, cornişe cu denticuli, ove greceşti, medalioane decorative sub ferestre. Plafonul de la casa scării mai păstrează pictura originală realizată de pictorul local Iosif Materna în anul 1899. Casa scării a mai fost decorată în anii ‘80 cu o galerie de portrete ale voievozilor români, realizată de pictori membrii ai filialei Argeş ai Uniunii Artiştilor Plastici.
După anul 1970 aici a fost mutat sediul Muzeului Judeţean Argeş. În curtea muzeului a fost instalată în anul 1980 o statuie de lemn de stejar , înaltă de 2 metri, realizată de sculptorul Radu Altenie.
