Once darkness starts to fall, most parks seem to take on a more sinister sort of a look, almost as if something dangerous is going to happen and it's just waiting for you to be there alone. Parks can be great places for photography but, if you're planning to stay out late, always be very aware of your surroundings and bring a friend or two. If you don't feel comfortable somewhere, or think the area looks a bit sketchy, it's better to just leave. Safety first!

Il parco di Richmond si trova nel quartiere londinese di Richmond upon Thames, è fu creato da Carlo I nel 17° secolo come un parco per i cervi. E’ il più grande dei parchi reali di Londra e riveste un ruolo di importanza nazionale ed internazionale per la conservazione della fauna selvatica. Originariamente creato per la caccia al cervo, il parco ospita ora 630 cervi e daini che vagano liberamente al suo interno. I suoi paesaggi hanno ispirato molti artisti famosi ed è stato l’ambientazione di film e serie TV. Ha svolto un ruolo importante in entrambe le guerre mondiali e nelle Olimpiadi del 1948 e del 2012.
Richmond Park, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, was created by Charles I in the 17th century as a deer park. The largest of London's Royal Parks, it is of national and international importance for wildlife conservation. Originally created for deer hunting, the park now has 630 red and fallow deer that roam freely within much of the park. Its landscapes have inspired many famous artists and it has been a location for several films and TV series. It played an important role in both world wars and in the 1948 and 2012 Olympics.

The city was completely destroyed in the massive earthquake on 8 October 2005.now its regaining its lights back.

So sorry to learn of the devastating earthquake and sending my love and support to the people in this city who were so kind to us when we were there earlier this year. Having lost my home in the big Oakland fire of 1991, I have a small sense of what they are experiencing and wish them safety as they go through the process of grief, loss, hope, and finally recovery.
