DIY midi foot controller - 12 send switches and 1 switch to flip between banks 1 & 2. So 24 unique signals in total ;-)
Designed to be used with Ableton to control loops, record & play whilst playing guitar/keyboard.
Made from recycled plywood body, clear acrylic back, PCB from a USB keyboard, heavy duty SPST momentary switches, and some recycled speaker wire.
Total cost £14.50.

The crappy mixer !
This is a very small and simple mixer that takes an audio signal and a video signal as inputs and mixes them to output a video signal. Of course, it could be used for mixing two audio inputs or two video inputs.
But the point is to output a video signal that is a light source for the DL711, a previous project (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGARJvItb1U).
As the TV is used for live performances, I wanted to have some video on the screen instead of a gray screen (it's a black and white TV set) when no audio is coming in.

After buying more records than I have brain cells, I took it upon myself to re-jig the studio space a bit. I stuck up some shelves and put crap into binbags.

A variation on the famed "Atari Punk Console" this is a crude (sort of) FM synth, with body contact points and light control for each timer on an NE556 chip.

I'm no expert, but I'll guess this is one of those "Centracom II" units Motorola used to make. Cities like San Antonio Texas were mad for them, and the operators would spend all day selecting and unselecting audio.
