01-22-1974, Montréal, QC. Christian Sbrocca is a former Canadian hockey forward. He played junior hockey for the Montréal-Bourassa Canadien and joined the NCAA UMass-Lowell for the 1992/93 season. Sbrocca played 4 seasons with UMass-Lowell. After finishing University hockey, Sbrocca joined the Quebec Rafales of the IHL and made 6 regular season games for Quebec. In the same season, he also played for the ECHL Pensacola Ice Pilots. As Sbrocca also had the Italian citizenship, he joined Fassa of the Italian League for the 1997/98 season. He returned after playing only one season in Italy, scoring 66 points while playing 43 games. He hired with the Pensacola Ice Pilots again, but made only 3 regular season games. Sbrocca played the rest of the season with the Laval Chiefs of the QSPHL. 7 more seasons in the Quebec Semi-Pro league followed. He was a member of Joliette, Saint-Jean and Sorel-Tracy. Christian Sbrocca hired with an European team for the second time in 2006. He made 24 regular season games for the Austrian HC TWK Innsbruck in the EBEL. Sbrocca returned to Quebec in the same season, playing for Sorel-Tracy Mission again. He retired at the end of the 2007/08 season, which he spent with Rivière-du-Loup CIMT. His Career-Stats: GP:746 / G:322 / A:701 / Pts:1023 / PIM:1541 (1990/91 – 2007/08).

01-27-1981, Val-Belair, PQ. Drafted round 9 #253 overall by Montreal Canadians 1999. Marois played in the QMJHL from 1997 till 2001. Between 2001 and 2003, he was playing in the minor leagues for teams like Columbus Cottonmouths, Odessa Jackalopes or the Mississippi Seawolves. Jerome Marois joined the Quebec semi-pro leagues 2004 and was playing for Trois Rivieres Caron et Guay, the Quebec RadioX, CRS Express de Saint-Georges and Riviere-du-Loup CIMT for the next years. Jerome made 13 games for the Dresden IceLions in the 2nd German Bundesliga during the 2008/09 season, before he went back to the NAHL playing with Riviere-du-Loup again. Today, he is still playing with Riviere-du-Loup, the team is currently called 3L. His career stats: GP:857 / G:315 / A:384 / Pts:699 / PIM:713 (1996/97 – 2011/12).

On December 8, 2015, Fire Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro and U. S. Army Major General Anthony C. Funkhouser signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formalizing a bilateral partnership between the FDNY and U.S. Army that will focus on strengthening their respective introductory training programs for new firefighters and military recruits.
The MOU was drafted following a year-long series of meetings and initiatives between FDNY and U.S. Army personnel involved in their training programs for new hires, including visits by Army personnel during probationary firefighter training sessions and by FDNY members to military bases to observe the Army’s programs.
Going forward, the partnership between FDNY Probationary Firefighting School (PFS) and the Army’s CIMT (Center for Initial Military Training) will review and provide recommendations to educational course management plans, policies and procedures, instructor certification and validation programs, use of equipment training and procedures. Personnel from each organization will continue to conduct site visits and share best practices in their respective programs.
