I just made this new shape for LAQ's Scarlet. Took me a week of tweeking and going back to it for days before i was happy with it. Isn't she sweet?

A very old (early 2007) image of a hawfinch I recently unearthed when working on a new camera club presentation.
Taken from a hide I'd built under a fallen spruce in my then local forest in Gdynia, Poland, with some challenging tools (Canon 350D + Sigma 70-300); uncropped.
It was less than 2 ft away from me and sitting on my chair! It didn’t fly away and let me take a photo! Surely kept its eye on me! First time ever this close to a bird.
Full cheeks means getting food storage for the upcoming fall and winter months ahead. I am sure with the cold temps we had the past few days my friend here is thinking that winter may be right around the corner.

Six year old male Greater One Horned Rhino (Rhinoceros unicornis) named "Parvesh" taking a nap. He was born February 25, 2014 at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park to mom "Alta" and dad "Bhopu". He now lives in the Urban Jungle at the San Diego Zoo.
Conservation Status: Vulnerable
A sleeping/snoozing crocodile by the bank of the Mara River, Masai Mara Game Reserve. The wildebeest migration has not reached this part of the river yet...so there is nothing much to do...
