He's so cute! I love him already! He's much bigger than I thought. I can't find a wheel large enough for him in the stores. I had to order one online and it won't be here for a week. I hope he'll be okay on the smaller one until then.

Not bad for a N.E. Clam chowder made in upstate NY. I saw fit to add some bacon bits from the salad bar, though.
Ocean Wise's not-to-be-missed fall event in Toronto and Vancouver is the hippest party in town. Chefs compete for the crown of Best Ocean Wise Seafood Chowder. Buy tickets early, this event always sells out.

Halfway through the Clam Category. Potatoes, bacon and good plain clammage are flowing.
I am sampling them one-at-a-time, while Don clearly prefers the comparison method. With about 25 chowders in 3 categories, this is more of a marathon than a sprint - you have to pace yourself.
Recipe here, but this time I skipped the flour and instead used a whole bunch of cornstarch to thicken it up.

Joanna and Rick ate at Dennet's Wharf for lunch the day of Deb Zoller's wedding in 2004. Deb's rehearsal dinner was held here the night before. The best chowder I've ever had.
