We went to a restaurant on the next pier, #38, because the restaurants here seemed less chainy. A strip of them had stands on the sidewalk selling fish-to-go, both cooked and uncooked. Behind these stands, most places had sit-down restaurants. This place was called Nick's. This is Nick's clam chowder.
Mom's giant burger at Monterey Coast Brewing Company in Oldtown Salinas. Well-toasted bun, medium as ordered, fresh garnishes. For some reason she decided to have chowder instead of fries (or maybe soup or salad was the choice).
This small cafe along the Lighthouse Route had simply amazing seafood chowder. Huge bowl with a biscuit for $7.50.
Chowder is traditionally a hearty bowl of food. Our simple Creamy Mussel Chowder is easy to make and an enjoyable way to enjoy your seafood.
