Jen and I spent the day cleaning and purging cleaning the house. For the last two hours I was shoveling snow, and took the trash out.
Then I came in the house for a hot shower and a warm kiss.
Jen made some delicious potato chowder soup, and rolls for dinner. Now we are just relaxing and enjoying each other for the rest of the night.
Tomorrow I go back to work. Hopefully the snow will stop. If not, at least I have a warm and loving home to come home to.
Lobster Roll was the feature of this better-than-I-expected lunch buffet. The potato salad was also freshly made and pretty good, and the chowda seemed like a good quality food service product. The beef tips were kind of meh, but I wasn't really there for the beef, anyway. I skipped the salad, tortellini, chicken fingers and chicken salad rolls.
Ahhhh, The C. C. S. is open for the season, still limited to Thurs - Sunday, but OPEN. This driveway dancer in his Lobster suit is also a treat. A very personable young man who really listens to the customers. Lore' and I went for Fish & Chips this evening. They were EXCELLENT, and the trip IS worth it ! Next on my list is the pail of Maine steamers.
Yayayayayayay my first vacation since last year! So it's really gonna be fun!! To bad I have a damn cold but well hopefully it's not something a little drinking with my bff won't solve lol.

The Boston Chowda booth on JFK Street at the Octoberfest in Harvard Square. The Boston Chowda Company serves chowder ("chowda" is "chowder" in a Boston accent), soup, and "other great stuff" around the Boston area.
We're in Boston visiting my father and his super cool wife Millie. My father had the good sence to marry an Italian as well.
We have eaten like kings here. Dinner was at Pizzaria Regina (est 1926). Its small, serves ONLY pizza and has lines to get in. Why? It is quite frankly the best pizza I have eaten in quite a while. We stopped by a bakery and picked up some mini cannoli, pizzelles, a chocolate chip cookie the size of my head and some break. I don't know what every one else is getting for dessert tonight but I'm set.
Ah, how do i describe this. A friend from work just bought a house. She is uber-wise and has killer taste in decor. But she also has a dog and cat. The dog, Star (like my sister's dog!!) , is loving and big and red. But the cat is a bit crackers... Sky will follow you, sit where you wanted to sit and become attached very quickly, as you see here. We just met both Star and Sky.
Back in the day, my mom and I had Blackwell who looked exactly like Sky only with a white neck. Same personality and lived a long life. But at the very end, died in my arms. It was a shock to meet Sky and think, wow. So you could be my Blackwell in the next life....
The only reason I came to Boston with Jackie: real Boston clam chowder. Sorry, Jackie, it wasn't your company, or the make out party we had.
