City of San Francisco.

Spent the day with my sister and Wilson. Started off waking up at 8am -__- Hopped in the car, and headed to the USS Hornet. It's supposedly haunted but I didn't experience anything scary. I heard noises tho! But it was a guy. We freaked out. I took the picture above from the top of the Hornet. Right after this it rained for a bit so I couldn't take any more. I bought a .50 Caliber bullet necklace there. Continuing on we visited Pier 39 for some clam chowda. NOM NOM NOM then us being asian tourists taking pictures. Finishing that my sister wanted to go to Marc Jacobs for some sales. Nemo Nisi Mors <3 Haight street was different than expected too and so much hype -__-. I'm poor, fail! But anywho, Mels for dindin and headed home.

Today was a Good Day.

Was really jonesin' for chowder by this point.

Fortunately the waters on that flooded roadway between Inverness and Point Reyes Station had receded enough that I was able to ride on through, saving me from a detour. I passed through Point Reyes Station and headed up Highway 1 towards the second control at the Marshall Store. Since I'd just eaten, I knew that I wouldn't have to make a long stop there -- just get my card signed and perhaps enjoy a small cup of their famous chowder. There was a bit of a tailwind which allowed me to enjoy some big-ring cruising, nice after the long slog through headwinds out to the lighthouse. After a while I started to see some of the faster riders returning back down Hwy 1 from Marshall. In among them I spied Carlos' bright orange jacket, but he was alone -- where was Jim E. I wondered? I realized that I might catch up with him and enjoy his companionship on the last leg of the journey. Alex was also there relaxing in the small bit of sunshine that had started to peek through the cloud cover. The three of us took off again together, but Alex pulled off after a bit to tend to a leg cramp. Jim and I motored on towards Nicasio.

Although I took these at moonrise it looks like Morro rock is constantly illuminated, so night photography around here is a solid possibility any particular day. Grab some chowda and hit the beach :)

Nothing goes better in a sour dough bread bowl than New England Clam Chowder. I don't know if it was from the lack of good American food in China or what but this was one of the best clam chowders I ever had, sorry, clam Chowdas
