Chocolate cookies with chunks of white and dark chocolate, then coated on one side with milk chocolate.
Very chocolatey!
(I was trying to focus on the front edges of the cookies, to show the different 'constituent parts' - I like the way this has made the top of the pile unfocused at the back)

"Chocolate Girl" by Deacon Blue
He calls her the chocolate girl
Cause he thinks she melts when he touches her
She knows she's the chocolate girl
Cause she's broken up and swallowed
And wrapped in bits of silver
In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.

For "Looking close... on Friday" and theme Chocolate my home made pralines.
I made them fast but we ate them even faster.
HLCoF!
Crazy Tuesday theme today is chocolate.
This is where I stash my Nikon camera batteries & charger. The chocolates are made of polymer clay. (so I can't eat them!! lol..) And a cute mouse to watch over them. Keep your paws off! :-) HCT!! :-)
in the embrace of early nighttime in valencia, the churrerĆa stands silent before the impending symphony of chatter and sizzling oil. a man perches atop a ladder, like a conductor poised before an orchestra, his silhouette etched against the soft glow of stark white bulbs. below, his partner watches, grounded and vigilant, a silent guardian of the soon-to-be bustling stall. the scent of chocolate and dough seems to linger in the air, awaiting the warmth of the morning rush, the clink of cups and the laughter of the day to come. this stillness speaks of anticipation, of moments just before the curtain rises, where every light and shadow holds the breath of stories yet to unfold.

In the spring we visited WangkuntilaāAldinga Conservation Park near Adelaide in South Australia.
We knew about Friends of Aldinga and the great work they did, and wanted to support them with a donation. Please consider supporting "Friends of" nature groups because they do invaluable work to take care of wild places.
We were very lucky to have a Friends of Aldinga member, Aidan, show us around the nature reserve that FoA have taken amazing care of. Jackie, another local came along and assisted with plant species. Both were so knowledgeable and it was wonderful meeting like-minded people who were so passionate about nature!
We were there in early spring, and while the weather was still cold, there were numerous species of plants in flower.

yesterday I read the theme for this week and knew I had to participate. It is chocolate.
so I got up early this mornig before the kids were awake.
Since grocery shopping with kids can be a challenge due to all the sweets and I was annoyed about all the discussion I introduced the rule that I will buy chocolate if we find one that is fair produces and ecological.
It worked.
No discussions anymore, they get good chocolate and know to organise it.
well done mummy and kids

Yummm...chocolate (using Homer Simpson voice). I'm still craving a chocolate shake since checking out Chocolate Falls for the first time. Grand Falls (aka āChocolate Fallsā) is a natural waterfall system located 30 miles northeast of Flagstaff, Arizona in the Painted Desert on the Navajo Nation. Itās a seasonal falls that dumps snow melt February through May or monsoon rain into the Little Colorado River below. DSC_6088A

I hate milk chocolate, don't want clouds
of cream diluting the dark night sky,
don't want pralines or raisins, rubble
in this smooth plateau. I like my coffee
black, my beer from Germany, wine
from Burgundy, the darker, the better.
I like my heroes complicated and brooding,
James Dean in oiled leather, leaning
on a motorcycle. You know the color.
Oh, chocolate! From the spice bazaars
of Africa, hulled in mills, beaten,
pressed in bars. The cold slab of a cave's
interior, when all the stars
have gone to sleep.
Chocolate strolls up to the microphone
and plays jazz at midnight, the low slow
notes of a bass clarinet. Chocolate saunters
down the runway, slouches in quaint
boutiques; its style is je ne sais quoi.
Chocolate stays up late and gambles,
likes roulette. Always bets
on the noir.
