Thanking everyone who leaves kind comments and favs. All are greatly appreciated.

I was searching my photo library and I found some delicious images from years ago.

I used to make these chocolate cups at work and at home,

It is filled with Mocha moose, topped with Chantilly cream and a crispy cream filled pirouette.

When the grandkids come over and want chocolate, give them the cheap stuff. Otherwise, this is what happens.

Officially Lindt Chocolate Truffles but we call them eyeballs. For Macro Mondays theme 'Sphere'.

Le Chocolat Cadbury dairy milk est une douceur que j'apprécie beaucoup, vient ensuite le Praliné, mais les Chocolats aux noisettes sont de loin mes préférés. #Macro #MacroMondays #Chocolate

Last one, trying a more cinematic look for fun.

Smile on Saturday#Man-made leaves

This is what a cake looks like when I get a burst of creativity. Autumn motif as decoration. I first washed the rose and hibiscus leaves and dried them well, then coated the back of the leaves twice with chocolate and put them in the refrigerator. After an hour I peeled off the leaves and a chocolate print remained. Everything looks messy on purpose because I tucked the leaves into the grated chocolate that represented a broken leaves and I even sprinkled the leaves with chocolate powder in places. Otherwise, the cake is extremely delicious and I make it every year for my birthday.

You can see the Christmas decoration of this cake, and a much neater one, in my son's photo gallery

Macro Mondays - In-A-Row

If you like chocolate boxes, and let's be fair at this time of year they can be quite appealing, then this might be the shot for you.

Discarded in favour of a more arty upload a week or so ago, this one again features the 9.30am Arpley - Tunstead (6H02) hauled by DB Cargo 'Tug' 60044 'Dowlow' at Chinley, captured this time on the approach against a not-so-shabby autumn backdrop.

Note the faded 169 milepost, just to the right of the loco. Positioned beside what would have been a four-track alignment when installed, this would have been the distance to London St Pancras via the now closed route through Bakewell of the old Midland Railway. It's good to see a bit of history still surviving.

Processed at high-res, so it will stand full-screen viewing.

Commenting turned off, thanks.

Leftover from Easter, for Macromondays two

(I removed the previous entry as Karen reminded me there weren't to be any flowers.)

They can be quite mottled and difficult to capture in regular daylight but taken with the setting sun they light up in a most amazing way. These were taken on one of the islands off of Nanoose Bay. They are a plant that announces the arrival of spring in a most delightful way.

The Chocolate Shoppe, Wickford

I passed by my friend's shop the other day and noticed that she had dressed up the shop's window for Easter, so I took a close-up of part of the display for the Smile on Saturday group. These chocolates taste as good as they look.

Red Chocolate is a sign of danger!

Happy Macro Mondays. HMM

This is a highly post-processed shot of a Droste container. I used to love my morning and evening Droste hot chocolate in a Dutch china cup...;-)

Marcel Proust would understand that I am not able to eat any chocolate at all. The resulting eczema is to difficult a price to pay.

I just realized that I am actually not sure about thoroughly baked chocolate. I wonder... Dare I do an experiment?

French desserts are superb. I learned by experimenting with Julia Child's first cookbook. I bought the first copy on the display counter at M.I.T.s Tech Store of the Harvard Coop in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a graduate student, I could ill afford a seven dollar book. That is like a hundred and forty dollars today. My grocery bill at the supermarket was ten dollars a week. It filled two grocery bags.

Looking Close... on Friday

Yoyogi Park, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan

Resembling a chocolate bar left melting on a hot surface, the brown thinly sliced Organ Shale rock known as the Chocolate Drops rests atop white Cedar Mesa sandstone. The pastel shades of sunset light in the clouds complement the pseudo-gastronomic delight in the Maze District of Canyonlands. To the east are Elk Ridge and the Abajo Mountains, with Standing Rock photo bombing the scene on the far right.

For Angela, who purchased these "Lily O'Briens - Desserts Collection" when she heard of this weeks assignment! Inspirational! Thank you!

Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!

Happy Macro Mondays to you all!

Macro Mondays: guilty pleasure

This time of year we have lots of fun chocolate treats, as they are our family's favorites! These are Ferrero chocolate truffles.

I created this image because I lost my chocolate Labrador last week. He was 15 years old

Even skeletons love chocolate
