I was surprisingly pleased with these flavors. It is a dried mango covered in a sugar & chili powder mix. The only thing that could make it better would be salt too - I think that would bring out the contrast between the sweet and spicy more.

I wasn't aware that shops were closed on Easter Sunday. Ouch!

Okay, this dish went awry because I didn't read the label! Put in a 28-oz can of crushed tomatoes instead of 14-oz. Snort. To compensate I put in rice and made it a soup instead.

What a surprise! I will stop keeping count, but this is Dish No. 2 with my beloved Mauviel skillet. There's a bit of magic and a bit of build-up that goes into the sauces from this bad boy. Tonight it made the best spicy honey sauce I had ever had or cooked.

What a pleasant surprise. Now I don't have to leave the happy kitchen for some good spicy chicken! Next time, I am sticking it in the broiler for a little more crisp. We'll see what happens. The sauce you see is from the great glazing power of Mauviel. This dish ended a long standing mystery with me. I never knew how to get this type of tangy/spicy flavor. I can see myself putting it in a sandwich. We'll see what happens.
