My friend Gloria and I stopped at Trees Drive-iin Restaurant for a chili dog and homemade root beer. You can order from your car but we decided to sit under the grape arbor. This is a great vantage point for watch Amish buggies.

From Pink's: chili cheese dog, guacamole dog, and fries. (My friend and I split this meal. And we didn't eat many of the fries, which would've been much better if they'd been fresh and hot. They were good fries in theory.)

Lafayette Coney Island is on the far right. It is dwarfed by the neighboring American Coney Island. However, most Detroiters will wait in line in front of an empty American Coney Island just to get a coney dog from Lafayette. This photograph was taken on the Michigan Avenue side.
