Over 60 early childhood educators came together to learn and launch a campaign supporting a universal, accessible and affordable childcare system in B.C.
Once upon a time a little girl and her siblings went to the grocery store once a week, with this little cart. BUT then a day the grocery shop closed down his store ... and the little wagon was used less for grocery shopping and more for pulling wood to the house from the shed. The kids moved out of the house and the little wagon that their grandpa had build them, could be found in the book of "forgotten things". I found the wagon again when we emptied out the farm of my grandparents. It was not doing so well and as I recall it we agreed that it had seen better day... I miss this wagon and wish I had one just like it again, for me and my daughter to have fun with and for the memory!

Pada Hari Minggu, 21 Februari 2016 lalu, Komunitas Taufan telah menyelenggarakan CAF (Charity Art Festival) 2016. Kegiatan yang juga didukung oleh PT. Ancol Pembangunan Jaya ini diselenggarakan untuk menyemarakkan Hari Kanker Anak Internasional (International Childhood Cancer Day) 2016.
Kegiatan ini diadakan di Panggung Utama Pasar Seni, Ancol dan didukung juga oleh beberapa sponsor acara yakni Bluebird, WeWo, Calpico, Frisian Flag, Camelo, Nanny’s Pavillon, Liquo8, dan Ivyflow.
CAF 2016 tidak hanya mengundang 30 orang pasien dampingan Komunitas Taufan beserta orang tua, namun juga mengundang relawan, donatur, dan juga publik umum untuk serta berinteraksi dan menikmati kemeriahan acara CAF 2016.
Kemeriahan acara CAF 2016 yang dipandu oleh Kak Ayu Nurul Huda juga tak luput dari peran serta para pengisi acara seperti Kids Yoga Jakarta, WeWo, Ayo Dongeng Indonesia, Killa Shafia, Rick Karnadi, Fatin Shidqia, Andinia, Andira, Segitiga, Zahir ‘Dalang Cilik’, Kak Ale, The Exs, YKT Band, Dr. Anto, Miss Hiday, Kak Agah, Andri, Sekar, dan Raffa.
Terima kasih juga kami sampaikan atas dukungan para Sahabat Taufan yang telah berkenan mendukung keberlangsungan acara seperti Kak Indrakurnia, Kak Idznie, Kak Tole, Keluarga Bu Wulan, Dita Ayudya, Kak Faizah, dan Kak Eva, Kak Ranjit, Kak Aya, dan donatur baik yang tak mau disebutkan namanya. Semoga atas dukungan yang telah diberikan menjadi manfaat dan keberkahan tersendiri bagi para Sahabat Taufan.
Kami juga tak lupa mengucapkan terima kasih kepada para donatur atas donasi yang masuk pada saat berlangsungnya acara. Dari booth donasi, sketsa wajah oleh Kak Agah, dan tie-dye workshop oleh WeWo, kami berhasil menghimpun:

2. Rp. 1.462.000 dari kegiatan Lukis Sketsa Wajah
Kami juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada rekan-rekan media yang telah hadir.
Besar harapan kami agar yang telah kami lakukan bisa membawa dampak yang baik bagi masyarakat yang lebih luas.
Terima kasih juga untuk para adik-adik pasien dampingan yang selalu semangat dan antusias dalam mengkuti acara sejak pagi hingga sore hari. Semoga selalu dilimpahkan sehat dan kebahagiaan bagi kita semua.
Acara CAF 2016 juga merupakan buah dari usaha dan kerja keras para relawan dan panitia yang tanpanya acara ini belum tentu terwujud sedemikian rupa. Oleh sebab itu, kami ucapkan terimakasih kepada relawan yang telah meluangkan tenaga, waktu, pikiran, dan senyumnya untuk menghadirkan kebahagiaan pada CAF 2016.

On Sunday, 21 February 2016, Komunitas Taufan held CAF (Charity Art Festival) 2016 event. The event was held in conjunction with International Childhood Cancer Day 2016.
Our event was supported by PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol and was done at Pasar Seni, Ancol. Also supported by WeWo, Bluebird, Calpico, Frisian Flag, Camelo, Nanny’s Pavillon, Liquo8, and Ivyflow.
CAF 2016 invited 30 orang patients and their parents, also donors, volunteers, and was opened for public.
Lead by Kak Ayu Nurul Huda as an MC, CAF 2016 was also filled by many activities from Kids Yoga Jakarta, WeWo, Ayo Dongeng Indonesia, Killa Shafia, Rick Karnadi, Fatin Shidqia, Andinia, Andira, Segitiga, Zahir ‘Dalang Cilik’, Kak Ale, The Exs, YKT Band, Dr. Anto, Miss Hiday, Kak Agah, Andri, Sekar, and Raffa.
We would like to express our gratitude to our beloved friend who helped making CAF 2016 a success: Kak Indrakurnia, Kak Idznie, Kak Tole, Keluarga Bu Wulan, Dita Ayudya, Kak Faizah, and Kak Eva, Kak Ranjit, Kak Aya, and many anonymous donors who do not want to be mentioned.

CHILDHOOD is fleeting. It is the most amazing adventure, fantasy, scary and frightening thrill ride and biggest life lesson that you are ever likely to be a part of. Embrace it and let your child LOVE and cherish it.

I got this beautiful girl as a "cheering up" present from my sister in 2006(correct me if I'm wrong on the year though- memory is a little fuzzy).
I'd wanted her for ages but couldn't find one with her pink hair still vibrant. But my sister did! Such a nice sister:)

Contemplating my early childhood. The Movie of my life can be summed up by "Well cared for." We were poor, living in Brooklyn, face with problems all around, but through it all a loving family instilled a sense of self-worth that lasts a lifetime. Note to young parents: Your efforts at child rearing blesses them for life.
