This image gives me a strong sense of 3D when I look at it.

NB - The coke bottle he plays with, he doesn't drink it!

Those were the days when innocence reigned supreme—no rules, no judgments.

It was a world where every color, every flavor was an invitation to a new adventure. Chocolate was like a warm, reassuring hug, and ice cream, and that was pure! Together, they were like the dream team of those carefree days we used to live.

I find the "baby in the tutu" photo shoots a little weird so why oh why when I was in Florida did I buy a tutu for my niece who turned one when I was away? Because I was a girly girl who loved ballet and studied it for years. I was in many recitals but never did wear a tutu (sigh). My school was very traditional with us all wearing hairnets and pink headbands and everyone in exactly the same royal blue leotard and pink leather slippers. I learned how to stitch the toes of my point shoes too. Luckilly my mother could sew and did all my recital costumes. The bokeh me in this shot is wearing a shift dress with a bow in the front and flowers in my hair. AND, I think my uncontrollable head tilt started here. The tutu in the front is for my niece.

(Why didn't I think of it for white white yesterday?)

There are so many other memories. Why don't I look ahead to the topics?

...Детство мое, реално и вълшебно,

детство мое, така си ми потребно.

Все се мъча света да обърна

яхнал пръчка при тебе да се върна...

it's a verse from a popular kids' song. It's saying roughly / I'm not a poet :-) /:

... My Childhood, real and magical,

my childhood, I need you so.

I'm always endeavour the world to reverse

mounting a stick to get back to you...

enchanted gateway

peeling paint

the flutter of wings

fading dreams

laughter

look both ways, child

and cross over

the reality of today is made from the crushed dreams of childhood.

The_dean and I went to my office's "holiday celebration" last night. Yes, the decidedly PC "holiday celebration", at the end of which everyone was wishing everyone else a "Merry Christmas!" Hm. But here's proof that I do occasionally dress up. :)

Midnight blue velvet peasant top - I've had this for years and years, purchased at a clothing shop in Virginia that has long since gone out of business

Black filmy floaty feminine skirt - thrifted

Knee high black leather boots - thrifted

Handstrung freshwater pearl necklace - Bangles & Beads, Richmond, VA

Vintage freshwater pearl feather pin - antique store/thrifted?

And look, I actually put a curling iron to those unruly auburn locks of mine. :) I look more like my mother now.

Yes, I totally swung on this visit. :)
