Just love running into my "neighbors" on the Colorado National Monument as they're going about their business. :-)
One of the criteria that I had when moving to Mesa County in Colorado was that I had both a view of ... and close proximity ... to the monument. Besides just the fabulous views there, they also have an assortment of birds and wildlife, which complete my world.
Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for stopping by to view.

Etta & I usually have a quick game of fetch in the house with this toy after her dinner :) Her idea 🐾💕
I mentioned earlier that we saw an otter with a nose that had been pretty messed up from mating, and this is her. I'd guess that the saltwater must help with preventing infections in open wounds, but I would also think that it would sting quite badly. These otters are, however, weasels, so they are not just characters, but awfully tough characters, too. Sea otter with rock crab, Monterey, California.
Seen on the "Steinhofgründe", a large public park and former farm on the edge of the Vienna Woods. To encourage natural growth of the meadows for the sake of wild flowers as well as butterflies, wild bees and birds, mowing (for haymaking) has been reduced to once a year, and a small flock of sheep has been introduced.

My thanks to Chetworth delGato for encouragement in this style of photography.
Yeah things are a bit messed up around here these days. It will all work out, and I just may starve while paying all the bills. Don't worry though, the photos will still be coming. Keeps me sane.
Keep the love.
Dogs are today's theme. Better to sacrifice an old shoe than have a puppy make his own selection. Happiness is ripping an old shoe apart.
No, I'm not ready for fall yet, but while walking through the Newton Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, I came across these leaves. Apparently they have been thoroughly chewed-up by some insects. I grabbed a few of the leaves to make this triptych.
