This was a pharmacy/Herb Shop for the Chinese community during the gold rush times and is now a museum. Everything in the store is from the people who lived here. Quite interesting to see and worth the visit. Fiddletown, California

I made the mistake of buying Jasmine beef rawhides [Dingo brand w/chicken in the center] for many years as she is an extremely oral dog who loves to chew. I knew they were bad but she loved them so much and I couldn't find a suitable replacement ...until now.

These gross things are Beef Trachea . Unlike rawhides, they are 100% digestible and natural. No FD & C Red 40 dye [ which is a carcinogen]. No arsenic or formaldehyde residue or sodium sulfide liming used to remove hair from the cow's hide. A dog like Jasmine can easily chew one trachea in twenty mins. I don't have to worry about choking, stomach torsion, diarrhea, or exposure to various chemicals.

Here's an link that sells them. It will tell you more about them in case you're curious. I bought mine locally...but some have asked where to buy these so here you go:

I feel better giving these to her.....even though as a vegan, looking at them makes me nauseous.

I'd heard about chewing gum graffiti but never seen it before last Sunday. Basically some artists have taken to painting designs on the ugly flattened remains of people's carelessly discarded chewing gum. This was taken on the Millennium Bridge in London. I didn't see anyone else noticing it except when they saw me mysteriously taking pictures of the walkway!

The River Chew in flood at Albert Mill, Keynsham, Somerset, 27 December 2020. In 1968 extremely heavy rain in the Mendip Hills caused a flash flood which resulted in large parts of Keynsham being inundated and much damage. The County Bridge on the River Avon just after the confluence with the Chew was washed away and communication between this part of North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire was disrupted for many months. As a result Keynsham railway station, which was due to close, was kept open. It is still open today and is well patronised.

Following recent speculation as to how kittens get their chewed whiskers, I carried out an experiment. The test involved one small cat , me and a darkened room. Following a period of time together in the darkened room,we both emerged with stubbly chins & absolutely no knowledge as to how it happened. As a result I have to conclude that my test appears to be inconclusive!
