The leaves of the cherry tree.

West Argyle Street, Helensburgh, is lined on both sides with gorgeous Cherrytrees. This photo doesn't really do it justice as, once again, I had the wrong lens with me...

A Cherry Tree in my garden....

Tamron 90mm lens

Back Garden - I spent a couple of hours out in the weak afternoon sun, not really much happening, the Nuthatch only showed briefly, the Coal tit was just slightly more obliging.

This Robin regularly sings loudly & beautifully from high up in the Cherry tree outside my home office window, sometimes it sings at night under the street lamp on the other side of the fence at the end of the garden. Not sure if it is male or female, as both sexes sing through the winter to defend their territories.

Botanically speaking, this cherry tree probably isn't very accurate. ;)

For non-USAns, this is based on popular folklore about our first president.

Back Garden - a group of half a dozen or so passed through yesterday.

Back Garden - still waiting for the elusive Male GSW and or Jay, but very little of anything around in the windy conditions at present.

Back Garden - finally after 45 years living here, we have a Nuthatch in the garden. My wife spotted it yesterday, it was having a drink from the birdbath, and then we saw it down by the sunflower hearts. Today was my first chance to get out there with the camera. It was usually straight in on the feeder, but on this occasion the Great Spot was there, so it had wait its turn (conveniently in view of the camera)

Not a great photo as it was foggy!

I went to see the last cherry tree with Barbie this year.

...on a misty, frosty morning.

I've changed the composition slightly so that the two foreground trees are both on thirds. I'll retake a late afternoon shot to replace the first one when conditions are right.
