Cherry presented in multiple forms. The brushed on sauce looks like chocolate, but was actually cherry. Instead of chocolate covered cherries...it's cherry covered chocolates...dehydrated cherry adds a surprising and tart punch. Light brown blobs are molasses, green is lime zest.
Celebrate traditional and contemporary Japan under the cherry blossoms in Fairmount Park. Sakura Sunday is an all-day celebration of all things Japanese, from live music, dance, and martial arts performances to fashion shows, arts and crafts, karaoke, and much more.
Sakura Sunday is held at Fairmount Park’s Horticulture Center, home to hundreds of blooming cherry trees – including two from 1926. Bring family, friends, pets, and a picnic and enjoy a beautiful day of arts and culture beneath the blossoms!
Apricot Cherry Popcorn Squares
Yield: 12 servings
Ingredients
* 10 cups air-popped popcorn
* 3/4 cup dried cherries
* 3/4 cup sugar
* 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. water
* 1/2 cup sugar-free apricot preserves
* 1/4 cup light corn syrup
* 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions
1. Combine popcorn and cherries in large bowl.
2. Combine sugar, water, preserves, corn syrup, and lemon juice in a small saucepan; bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
3. Cook until mixture forms thick, "ropy" threads that drip from the spoon.
4. Pour slowly over popped popcorn and mix thoroughly.
5. Spray 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
6. Press mixture into baking dish and cool completely before serving.

Cherry Beach, looking east from the eastern most part of Cherry Beach. This is the channel for the Port of Toronto. This was shot in daytime, early afternoon in September. No filters used.
We were about a week late for the Cherry Blossoms, but I did find a few trees with some blossoms left.
Cherry Grove is a small village in southern Fillmore County. Its post office operated from 1857 to 1893 and again from 1894 to 1903 before closing for good. The township hall is now used as a community center for the village.
