Blackburnian Warbler ~ (Setophaga fusca)

I found this Blackburnian warbler at Fort DeSoto. Their color is quite distinct and reminds of me 'cheeto orange'.

beards and cheetos

The few days I spent in Bryce Canyon NP were warmer than the monthly average temp (around 89F). The warm summer weather isn't the best for getting clouds so I feel like this higher composition pointing downward towards the city like hoodoo formations works well. Looking at the orange hoodoos light up almost remind me of cheetos hence the title of this image.

The odd thing about this was how the ants that were on the Cheetos were dead still. It was hard to tell if they were even eating. As though they were savoring the smell or something. I didn't spot any of them taking any bits back to their home.

This is the last picture I took of him. He's been adopted along with Lefty, Tippy, Lenny, Sterling, Breeze, Star, Koko, Georgia, Bertha. They are all in good hands and I'm happy for them although it's a lot quieter at night without them.

cheeto is named after the snack "cheetos"! Thats what i thought he looked like as a kitten.
