My Wife's sister-in-law made this cheese ball in the shape of an Owl.

Here I am looking like a total cheeseball for your enjoyment.

We are having our third annual cheeseball competition at work tomorrow. I hope to win the biggest cheeseball award :) This is a recipe tanya passed down to me and I make the same one every year for work as well as to most pitch-in's we go to. it's yummy! Here's the recipe:

1 1/2 packages of 1/3 less fat Philly Cream Cheese

1 jar of Old English Cheddar

1 packet of dry Ranch Mix (I prefer to use about 3/4)

1 small package of chopped walnuts

(I put the walnuts in a ziploc and roll with rolling pin until crushed. Then spread on waxed paper)

Have plastic wrap spread out on plate

Wash your hands. Mix the cream cheese, old english cheddar, and ranch mix together (it's messy) Place as best you can in a bowl. wash your hands. Pat mixture in your hands to form a ball. Roll in walnuts. Place on plastic. Wrap it up and refridgerate. Eat it the next day with Reduced Fat Triscuits. Enjoy :)

I got this package of 'krumps' (cheese balls) because it says "extra balls" on the front. They tasted terrible.

A native to eastern Asia in Japan, China and Korea. These plants are related to the Quince (Cydonia oblonga) and the Chinese Quince (Pseudocydonia sinensis).

The leaves are alternately arranged, simple, and have a serrated margin. The flowers are 3–4.5 cm diameter, with five petals, and are usually bright orange-red, but can be white or pink; flowering is in late winter or early spring. The fruit is a pome with five carpels; it ripens in late autumn.

The flowering Quince Chaenomeles does well in the Southeastern United States. This particular one lives in my backyard and was recently subjected to our little snowstorm.
