I'm gonna drop a bag of sand to see if I can quickly just prime the thing to get the last of the sand off the floor before I redo the check valve. I put about a quart of sand in a sand which bag and rolled it into a long stogie shape and ppushed it past the T. I ran a hose for a half minute to force the bag down to drop down the tube and land on the check valve. I'll let it settle over night then put a gallon of sand in there and wash it down the same way and then see if I can get the lift tube to fill to the top with water. The pump is so powerfull it will just clear the bag out and the sand in the tube if I can get clear of air in the first thirty feet of piping. Summers near and I have a zilion things to finish on the real house and the wife is getting a bit short of patence on me sneaking down there all day LOL.
