In November 2014, we moved to North Carolina from Tucson, Arizona which is in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. The amazingly abundant and diverse flora here are totally different than those in the Desert - there are more trees and plants here that I DON'T recognize than ones that I do. I had no idea what the name of this lovely plant was but found it easily by searching this website: www.dpughphoto.com/plants_color.htm

Any guesses? She was so striking with those eyes! Her mom had to hold her still so I could take her picture!

"Bark in the Park" Charlotte, NC

This was the first time that I had been to "Bark in the Park" because I had never heard about it until Romeo and I started going to the dog parks, and it was so amazing to see so many dogs...and their people. When we got up on Saturday, I kept telling Romeo that we were going to a puppy party, and it was so cute because the whole time I was in the shower, he kept peeking around the shower curtain, and he stuck to me like glue the rest of the time that I was getting ready.

The Fish Fountain is located in The Green in Uptown Charlotte, NC.

It fun to watch as the water periodically spurts from the fish's mouth.

There were several children playing in the fountain while I was there. Children are encouraged to play in it!

The 400 South Tryon, formerly the Wachovia Center, is in Uptown Charlotte, NC.

Charlotte, NC

I just got back from a several days trip. I went to Charlotte NC where one of the boys are. This is the Bank of America reflected in another building in uptown Charlotte, NC. NO way I could rid the view of trees. Charlotte- happily - had done a good job preserving their trees in a City as huge as it is. Charlotte is the Country's second largest banking industry City..second to NYC.

No matter where I stood..no matter how I zigged and how I zagged..I couldn't do any better ('cause of my inexperience) BUT I liked it..and I hoped some of you would.

The LYNX Blue Line is the Charlotte region's first light rail service.

It is 9.6 miles long with 15 stations. It began in November 2007.

I saw this attractive sculpture near the Carolina Panthers Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.
