Nearing the end of uni term and on one of my final photo trips around Aber until i get back, I took this one in the amusements arcade on the pier. This is the sign for a change machine, however to me it carries a different meaning (uni work).

Punggol is one of the most rapid developing area in Singapore now. Soon all these lovely landscape will be gone... When i went to Punggol beach the other day i realize most of my shooting spot had been fenced up and turned into a construction site. Seriously running out of landscape to shoot. =(
Sunrise shot from my archive. I still remember our car got stuck in the sand! Lol... Only got a few shots, as by the time we manage to get the car out, the sun is already up high in the sky.
Have a great day my friends!

So 2 rule changes, first rule change is that you also can draw now and second rule change, first you needed to make a sidekick for a superhero, your Flickr Fighter or you own superhero from my previous contest. Now you can also make a sidekick for a villian. So I hope you guys like it and Ephram Sinnwell make the fig you wanted to make.
It was a really grey day when I took this pinhole image. But I felt that this image worked well with the image I posted before. In this photo my son and daughter were changing the course of the river. Creating their own protected channel. I sat there and thought, If we can't change the entire flow of the river, well... we can try to change just part of it for a while.
In the summer of 1996 Class 60 no.60035 passes Bedlinog with a loaded MGR from Cwmbargoed Disposal Point to Aberthaw.
This was around the time Class 60s replaced pairs of Class 37s on these trains and this is the first time I saw a Class 60 on the branch. I never been back to the line since but will make the effort again one day as the scenary is superb.
I created this image at the Stand for Change Rally with Barack Obama in Virginia Beach, Virginia. According to the Virginian-Pilot newspaper, over 18,000 people were in attendance. As Rep. Bobby Scott said, this had to have been "the biggest political rally in Virginia Beach history." Better Large.
(I absolutely hate watermarks, so please forgive mine. A number of my John Edwards images got poached (by the 'real' media, no less), so these are temporary evils.)
I tried to get the shutter speed fairly near to that of the human eye in order that I capture the moment.
Introducing my first ever triple changer...Turncloak! Turncloak transforms from car to jet to robot without the addition or removal of any parts (except his guns). Unfortunately, due to all the transformation engineering, Turncloak cannot fit a Minifigure in his car mode (a first for me). Enjoy!

Nothing changes
It only gets worse
Nothing changes
Waiting for a hearse
There is no hope
Escape is a hoax
The pressure's building
And I just can't cope
Now and forever
Nothing changes
It only gets worse
Nothing changes
Waiting for a hearse
There is no hope
Escape is a hoax
And we're the punchline
To a Spengler's joke
Death In June
A loaded unit ethanol train rolls southbound down the mainline, with the train stretched between the Ashton and Berkeley mill villages in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
This part of Rhode Island, and southern Massachusetts, along the Blackstone River was a big money maker for the rail industry with the mills and factories strewn along the river. But, as usual, all that is good must come to an end sooner or later and the factories and mills shutdown for good. The two "straight railed" customer turnouts on the right side of this photo used to serve Peterson Puritan Aerosol, whom went out of business, and then KIK Custom Products for a brief time before they too shut down.
Out of view, and just north of the second "straight railed" turnout is another one for Owens Corning Fiberglass. The factory melted glass into marbles which were shipped to the mill just across the tracks that then melted the marbles and made fiberglass. Both the mill and factory received rail service until business tanked and ultimately shut them down as well. Owens Corning however still thrives, just elsewhere.
On the left side of the photo, and out of view, are two other turnouts that have since been completely ripped up. They used to serve Okonite, an electrical wire and cable manufacturer. The company is still there but has gone to truck for shipping and receiving instead. One of the tracks was re-installed about 10 years ago for Dean Warehousing that moved into some vacant space behind the Okonite factory. They received cars of coiled wire a handful of times per week. But, just a few years ago that too was ripped back up and straight railed, as Dean moved out and went elsewhere.
Sadly, the potential to service five different customers on this hardly quarter mile section of mainline is a thing of the past. Thankfully though, the railroad has grown and generated more customers along the way.
You win some, you lose some.

“We can't be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don't have something better.”

Grassi Lakes, Canmore, Alberta
I have never seen a lake like the upper and lower ones at Grassi Lakes. The water is always so calm, clear, and free of pollution that it takes my breath away every single visit. This was my first time visiting outside of the summer months, and it did not disappoint. I was struck by the contrast of the evergreen (and always green) pine trees, against the bold yellows and oranges of the surrounding bushes and trees, and the way it had such a stark reflection on the aquamarine blue of the water. This is one of those places in the Rockies that I especially hope never reflects the increase in human traffic and maintains its serene, natural beauty.

Bids the wind blow the earth into the sea,
Or swell the curled waters 'bove the main,
That things might change or cease."

I want something more for myself,
a change that only I can initiate.
Let yesterday be by gone,
and today- live like it is your last.
I've discovered it is easy to let go of the things you long & try so hard for,
when you realized you have given it your all & receive nothing in return.
It's easier to let go,
when you can say you've given all you got, and know with every ounce in your being that it is true.
if it wasn't meant to be, let it go.. something better will come along some day.
someone i once knew so well told me to listen to this song,

Earlier today, while enjoying a walk with my wife around UVIC, I took this photo of some leaves changing colours in the afternoon breeze.

2212 leads 2Y12 empty Mindarie sands train from Pelican Point to Dry Creek through Suburban Ethelton in Port Adelaide on 21-4-08.
At Dry Creek main line locos will be added for the run to Mindarie on the Loxton line .
In a matter of months this would be a passenger only line with all freights using a new bridge over the Port River using a new alignment near Birkenhead
