“Change is the only constant” ~ Proverb

The Main Terrace at Mammoth Hot Springs provides an ideal representation of the Earth’s powerful forces at work. The landscape surrounding the Main Terrace is in a constant state of change as new springs boil to the surface and older ones become inactive. We have visited this very spot at least three different times, and it has never looked the same.

Have a great Tuesday....and as always, thanks for stopping by to visit :-)

FlickrFriday theme is: #Change

It's difficult to believe how quickly things have changed in the past couple of weeks.

Stay healthy and safe, everyone.

"The line it is drawn

The curse it is cast

The slow one now

Will later be fast

As the present now

Will later be past

The order is

Rapidly fadin'

And the first one now

Will later be last

For the times they are a-changin'."

A southerly change blows across the Blue Mountains bringing with it cold weather and rain

uncertainty is certain. change is inevitable. yet we still resist. and that very resistance narrows our minds and saps our energy. i'm trying to see beauty in the early snow and cold. i'm trying to see the lessons in change and uncertainty.

...I'm going back to who I was

And I do believe that change is gonna do me good...

I wanted to travel to Morocco by boat in order to experiment visually the continent change from Europa to Africa. Only on land travelling make the passenger really feel the distance and the cultural evolution all along the way. Since I had previously visited Sevilla, Malaga was for me an obvious starting point for a short Morocco trip. Then I would go to gibraltar, Tarifa and take the boat for Tangier, my first Morocco city. The trip lasted 3 weeks until I reach south of Atlas Mountain Range, just before the desert.

The conclusion of my travel is that I could not recognize any Moroccan people anymore since I could realize that from north to south, and depending of the mountain side landscape, geography and people are totally different.

When I used to frequent Tonbridge West Yard in the 1980s, taking the long way round from school to the station, there were usually a few 73s on show - albeit not the re-engined variety. GBRf's 73963 waits for its next task as 73141 shunts RHTT wagons in the background.

First of all I just want to thank you for stopping by my stream and show your love and support for my work. It's been an amazing journey for me as a photographer and I've grown so much and have more room to grow still. I'm participating in a small group exhibition at The Orchard Community this Sunday. I've posted the info on my blog. If you're in the area, please stop by, I'd love to meet you.

Secondly, I just want to say that I had a blast doing another session with chord-c yesterday morning. They were so much fun to work with and even though I sprang my ankle right at the beginning of the session, they took me out to lunch at one of my favorite Italian restaurants, 33 West Trattoria at the end of the session.

Lastly, here's my latest sp that I just took this morning. It's been awhile since I've done any of these. But I remembered doing a photo similar to this 2-3 years ago...my life is moving at such a pace that I'm left wondering, "what's next?" I'm going to be putting my house on the market within the next few weeks and it's enough to freak me out...I'm just praying for wisdom and insight to see past the current situation and look straight ahead to the future.

enjoy your friday everyone.

A trip down to Manningtree today to pick up the wife and work on the new lifts is going ahead and should be finished in July. The class 37 was returning Light from Wolverton to Norwich Crown Point after a stock move this morning and I was lucky enough to catch it!

em que a poesia

mude de endereço

deixe apenas tédio

mas enquanto isso

vem brincar comigo

possa ser só riso

possa ir tão longe

possa ser tão lindo

pode ser brinquedo

pode ser tão sério..."

...summer is still here

Wickham Bishops, Essex, England - 15th November, 2014

This was only the second time the ceremonial Changing of the Guard had happened since the global nuisance occurred. It was good to see more normality returning.

This image is a second image which was captured earlier this week in Wiltshire whilst taking the opportunity to photograph the Milky Way. I think it's fair to say I got a little distracted.

The last time that I was fortunate to photograph the Northern Lights, was back in Iceland in March/April 2016, so only taken eight years. Hopefully some more opportunities in the near future.
