Donna Brazile (To the tune of Rocky Raccoon)
The Sunday Good Morning (To Laugh That We May Not Weep)
Donna Brazile, worked for The Shill
To help her defeat all her rivals
Donna had come, with the Vict’ry Fund
For which she ought be put on trial
But one rival it seemed,
was dreaming big dreams
And stealing the voters a-plenty
His name was Bernard, a Vermont Senator
But everyone knew him as Bernie
He drew the YUGE crowds, it got pretty loud
In stadiums ’cross the country
But the DNC screamed "You’re making a scene!"
Do what we say, you must stand down
But Bernie was hot, we all thought he had a shot,
as her poll numbers sank to the bottom
D’da d’da d’da da da da
D’da d’da d’da da da da
D’da d’da d’da da d’da d’da d’da d’da
Do do do do do do
Spin doctors came in, said she could win
But we all knew she wasn’t able
We said, “You have met your match
Trump will win and that’s that.”
Sure enough we all watched it on cable
And now Donna Brazile, wrote with a quill
A tell-all which they’ll say is libel
But no matter the tale, when the book is on sale
There’s no chance for the DNC revival
Oh yeah, yeah
Great memories when I was meeting up with with USA Trainee Marie Vasallo, and Cecilia Kullman, the organizer at SACC USA, at House of Sweden and the same time the Embassy of Sweden in Washington.

Providence UMC has been Changing the World in many ways. PUMC recently hosted a Malaria /Nothing But Nets benefit/basketball game, raising awareness and funds for Imagine No Malaria.
Take a look at these photos from their Day of Service on the first Sunday of Lent.
Keep a look out for photos from their upcoming Festival of God's Creation environmental mission on April 25. The PUMC Environmental Stewardship Committee and the Providence staff has been working hard to unite Methodists in service on Change the World weekend.

Interestingly, it seems we never ran this post - opted instead for a Trump cartoon this day (see today's other Repast post floating around this digital sea somewhere...).
Don't recall why we changed it - usually we would have run it the next day. Maybe we just forgot, or maybe it felt too...crankypants toward the Establishment Democrats (E.D.) right after the inauguration when everybody was licking wounds and it was more fitting to turn toward President v45...or maybe it was too wordy (often the case with us).
Or maybe, it was very very truthful...it would be a hell of an activism to actually move millions of people so as to have an effect on the vote. Vote Migration...maybe that's too much...
Either way (or maybe better yet), one year later, the sentiment is fascinating as we all wonder if this wave of election success against the Republicans will carry into 2018...and also in what form - more E.D. or a true left?
Because...we're in no need of more E.D. - no more need of centrist right one-party-masquerading-as-two-party nonsense. We bring down the oligarchy here and now, or we watch their castle grow to an unclimbable height.
The Daily Good Morning Afternoon Re-Past (To Laugh That We May Not Weep) - Originally published January 25th 2017
***Our daily look back at this time, last year***
1) The idea that having won the popular vote by three million indicates any sort of right to rule.
While the argument can be made that the Electoral College should not undo the popular vote...if the country were so pro-Democrat, wouldn’t the party have won the Senate and the House?
So, we suggest 4 million Democrat voters from California make a sacrifice and move house and home to traditionally red states. This will help move relevant vote totals in 2018. Yes? No? Then shall we drop this line of mis-reasoning?
We need action now - not blame, not the same game or vapid establishment names.
