"All colour will sell until it's black"- said Henry Ford for Cars. Surprising, it's not true for skin colour! As a child, our colour palette has 12 shades. While we mostly loved all of them and almost always painted our world with a combination of all colours. Its disheartening to see when we grow, it all seems mixed up. Seems, we don't love & care for mixed shades enough! Differentiating skin on the base of colour is called Racism. At Realyards, we are deeply saddened with whats going around in the world. Black has its own individuality if you disturb the combination you bear the consciousness. With lesser of humanity left, how can a country call itself Developed Nation? #Icannotbreathe #Speakup #Changetheworld #BlackBeauty #Black #Changeyouwantosee #Newyork #nytimes realyards.com
Change the World weekend- 2011
Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church- Brunswick Ohio
Our small Church stood strong with other United Methodist Churches around the globe! as we all united with a common purpose to improve lives and help communities.
This was our second year to participate.
Our focus to Change the World was to support our local food pantry. We had two ways to participate.
First, we asked everyone to donate a can of food as a symbol and call to action to Change the World .
Second, Our youth group ran a LemonAID stand after our worship service on Sunday to help " put the Squeeze" on Hunger and they raised $137 dollars for the food pantry.
Here are some photos from the weekend.
Blessings,
Debbie Petcher- Change the World Committee
