Ahhhh Guórén (aka Ikoma Jinsuke), he who went from Lawful Good to True Neutral in one fell swoop after a humiliating episode X ttrpg sessions ago. His drastic change in styling/palette over the years was meant to portray that.

I just had to do one in sepia right?

I'm still here and I'm happy to say that the little girl I'm babysitting is a joy! She wore me out, but she is so adorable! Thanks for sticking by me my friends!

I never cease to be amazed as to how a hairstyle can change a look and a mood

I am borrowing the Flickr Friday theme of the week for our group, too, as it is giving me a chance to take a photo I have long wanted to take.

The Week#239 theme will be CHANGE.

To give us a lift towards our choice of image, nothing better than:

The Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.

To depict serenity to accept the things one can not change, another image of my lovely mother-in-law that you already know as she has graciously posed for varios photos we have seen in these groups.

Here, she is smiling, in advanced stages of Alzheimer's and bedridden with a broken femur, holding a memory of times past.

One of the hundreds of photos I've done and never posted. It was taken at the Palm Springs Gay Pride Festival last November.

After yesterday's Monumental decision by SCOTUS on Constitutional rights, I felt it was the right time to finally post it.

A mix of cloud types heralds some changing weather. Not much sunshine from when this shot was taken at Wynnum in Brisbane until now. It poured yesterday, today has brought iconic blue autumnal clear skies. And cooler weather.

Wynnum is a southern bayside suburb of Brisbane with the Port of Brisbane in the distance on the southern bank of the river.

I made lots of these little pistachio yachts last year and then didn't know what to (photographically) do with them. Ideas welcome below.

Not all change is good. In Nova Scotia, much of the time, change brings more loss of jobs and livelihood. The young people have to look in other places for their living. Less and less of the fishermen are able to compete with the big companies.

In our years hanging out on the east coast, we have had the good fortune to meet a good many of the area's fishermen, great people! It saddens me to see scenes like this as, to me, it is a reminder of what is happening to a whole lifestyle and a valuable part of our heritage.

UPDATE, August 4, 2015: Photography is a way of preserving a moment in time. This moment is gone after we press that shutter button. I went by this location last week, and wanted to see the condition of this shack. To my amazement, it is now gone with little trace. Another link to the Nova Scotia fishing heritage is gone forever.

i made an entry over at my blog about little changes i've been making in the last couple of months.

It is said, walking in the forest is one of the best things to clear thoughts and to reduce stress. For me exploring nature is one of my favourite things to do. Yet, the busy life takes a grip on me and the walk in the park, woodland or forest gets postpone by other things. Even so, I hope to visit the nature parks for the autumnal golden display very soon.

On this gloomy early fall Friday I finally got my first look at New England's newest railroad, The Berkshire and Eastern Railroad, a Genesee and Wyoming subsidiary which began operation on September 1 after a protected delay. They are the new contract operator of the jointly owned CSXT/NS former Pan Am Southern which is basically the western half of the former Boston and Maine Railroad and all its attendant branch lines and trackage rights. How things will change in the future is yet to be determined, but for now it still looks like the Pan Am of old we all knew and loved....haha right?!?!

There is the first hint of early fall color in the swamps as an unidentified Ayer yard crew switches out Catania Oils as they nose onto the Ardent Mills loop in this telephoto view from the Wagon Wheel Rd. crossing at old PAR milepost 312.5 (measured from Mattawamkeag, ME) on District Three of the former Freight Mainline. They are using solo BERX 7635 still dressed in unpatched Pan Am blue (several others have already had their PAR lettering and logos painted over). The unit is a GE C40-8 originally built for CSXT in Aug. 1990 and acquired by Pan Am in 2017 in a deal brokered by GE.

Congratulations from Italy.

[Event] Garden Rhapsody - At the SuperTree Grove

[Details] - Be entertained by familiar Christmas tunes as the towering vertical gardens come to life every evening in a specially choreographed 12-minute music and light show.

Thanks to turning back the clocks one hour, I get to see the sunrise again on my way to work. It's a nice change of pace but it gets dark earlier in the evening.

Colas Rail Freight Class 70814 passes Little Fenton while working 6D43 Jarrow to Lindsey. 07/07/2022

This working was only 10 minutes (Should have been 20) behind 46115 "Scots Guardsman" on "The Scarborough Spa Express". It was sad to see there will no longer be a DB 60 at the helm but at the same time nice to have a change of colour.

CEFX 3803 backs onto some steel loads for BIW on a sunny fall morning in 2020 on CP local F17.

This short lived leased unit is one of the many locomotives I've seen from this spot over the past 14 years as the Rockland Branch has changed operators twice in the past five years. If all goes as planned Finger Lakes will be become the next operator in two months and it is anyone's guess at this point what will be used for power.

The recent return of outbound cement from Dragon has given the branch a nice recent uptick in activity so it should be interesting to see how things go in the coming months.
