This is the first time I've actually pictured my motor on the road mostly because I'm not driving it!

The weekend of March 5th/6th 2022 saw a big rail replacement operation centred on Woking and stretching out to Basingstoke, Guildford, Weybridge and Aldershot.
I didn't much spare time this weekend so my prime target was to snap Falcon Coaches Volvo B5TL / MCV eVoSeti LF71DKV, a bus which normally only sees school work.
I don't often do series as such but the four shots today were taken at the Nurso, Stem and Vine Nursery in Chandler, Brisbane where we went back to catch up on some new murals painted since our last visit. On that note, can't show them all today as there are just too many from our original visit and then some.....
Anyway, to start off, this photo was taken by my wife and yes, once I read it I wondered how this happened. What toilet was she in? And mind you, I didn't see it when I went so we both obviously went to the wrong toilets - unless they were Unisex! Please don't ask, I doubt we know the answer! Do note however, the rather good photo of Dusty, the nursery dog (on the right).
Read on.
A morning at Stonehenge today (18/07/2025) to burn up some spare time I'd accrued actually working! Although not many of the 55 coaches that turned up caused any great excitement, a few did in the shape of a rather gorgeous Setra S511HD from Austria, a 25-plate Irizar from Westbury (courtesy of James Underwood), and an unusual local bus running on the Stonehenge tour from Salisbury. A pleasant morning with friends.

This airframe was delivered to the US Navy, designated a PV-2D with serial 37550 on 29 November 1945.
In 1946 this PV-2 was stored at Litchfield Park, near Phoenix but resumed military service again until retirement in 1955. It was sold to a civilian buyer in 1957 as N7251C and was converted at some point for aerial spraying work.

CN plow extra 3569 east makes quick work of drifting snow as it finishes its work in Chandler. Once home to a large paper mill that was an online customer, the Chandler mill is gone, as is much of the traffic on CN's former Gaspe Bay line.

In 1920, Chandler had a line of six cars, ranging from $1995 to $3595.[citation needed] This grew to 10 by 1922, ranging from $1495 to $2375.[citation needed] Like many other medium-price carmakers, in the middle 1920s Chandler introduced a lower-priced "companion car" called the Cleveland. In 1924, they introduced the "Traffic Transmission," a constant-mesh gearbox that reduced the need for extra clutching when downshifting. This was several years before General Motors offered the "Synchro-Mesh" transmission, which allowed the driver to shift into first gear while moving forward at low speeds.
Chandler's peak year was 1927, when they sold 20,000 cars. Hopes for continued growth of the market led to overexpansion by the company the following year, which finished 1928 over half a million dollars in debt.
In 1929, Chandler Motor Company was purchased by its expanding competitor Hupp Motor Car Company for its factory and manufacturing facilities, and the brand was discontinued.
Chandler, like most cars built before all-steel bodies became the industry standard in the mid-1930s, used bodies built with a metal skin around a wooden frame (an "armored wood" frame).[1] Due to the use of fabric roofs, after a few decades the wood tended to rot; because of this Chandlers have survived in smaller numbers than some other popular automobiles of the era that used all-steel bodies.
Taken on the day of delivery, Chandlers Coach Travel Mercedes Tourismo CT68 CCT is seen outside the depot. There was no rest for the new vehicle as the next day it worked a private hire to the Royal Albert Hall.

Such a fun girl to be around and to photograph. I had a blast taking pictures with her the other day.
A whopping 300* coach movements in 5 hours (07:45-12:45) kept the camera occupied this morning (Sat 17/05/2025) with the increased traffic on the M3 at Fleet being influenced by 5 cruise ships in Southampton, the FA Cup final, and increased weekend coach trips. Being fairly close to Heathrow, Windsor and Stonehenge meant some of that total were the same coaches returning but it was a very good haul nonetheless.
*Big shout out to the lovely lady who, when asked to guess how many coaches we'd seen in 5 hours, thought long and hard about it and then reckoned on 8 (eight). She was utterly gobsmacked!!
I visited Glastonbury on Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd June 2023 to capture some of the bus action transporting festival goers to the annual event. Of course, I was instantly attracted to the Bristol VRs and Olympians operated by Chepstow Classic Buses, but there were plenty of other interesting buses to photograph as well!

What is Alpha Company?
Alpha Company is a highly-specific themed-based military MOC group, centered around a fictional part modern, part sci-fi Infantry Company in an alternative timeline of the contemporary world.
What are the Alpha Company Forums' goals?
- Develop and Promote the fan-created Prometheus Saga alternative universe canon, including background stories, official models, building instructions and other resources, made freely available for fans to create derivative works.
- Foster a spirit of friendship and international cooperation amongst Fans of Lego (FOLs) by providing the resources for staff-moderated community-driven projects.
- Encourage a higher level of building quality and graphical design by exposing members to the works of critically-acclaimed builders, minifigure customisers and decal designers, providing opportunities to learn from their work through detailed "Behind The Scenes" deconstruction.
- Promote the proliferation of baseline LEGO Military models for customisation and integration into collaborative displays at Lego Fan Conventions and other public events.
- Allow members to participate in role-play Infantry, Airborne and Armored Company units inspired by the structure and characteristics of real-life organised Armed Forces, or to create new units based on those officially accepted as canon.
Who founded Alpha Company, and when?
Alpha Company was founded in 2007 by Adam "kaboom" Dufrense, Chandler Parker and Robin "GreenLead" Chang, operating initially as a group within the BrickArms Forums. The group officially opened its own forums as an independent entity on July 4, 2009.
