Totally awesome "Lollipop Chainsaw" costume I got to shoot before the crew went out for Halloween, in Ottawa
I visited my friend Jay at his office and found this magnificent ruby-encrusted rockstar chainsaw in his office. He didn't know its history and neither did the interns I asked. They said it was an enigma that sat by the window like the hand of god, shining light upon them and giving them inspiration in the sallow world of rockandrollstardom. I was going to shoot a video of me dancing with it, but the mere suggestion was met with looks of horror!
Lollipop Chainsaw is the 'un-deadly' story of sweet and killer zombie hunter Juliet Starling and her quest to uncover the root of a colossal zombie outbreak. With her wickedly awesome chainsaw in hand, Juliet slices, dices and splits her way through hordes of the undead, but soon realizes the horde is only the opening act to a festival of zombie rock lords determined to kill the chainsaw wielding cheerleader.

Nearby town, Williamston, MI had a problem with dead ash trees as a result of the Emerald Ash Borer infestation in one of their parks. Usually the diseased trees get cut down and chopped up or burned. Someone had a different idea and invited chainsaw carvers to a Tree Sculpture Festival. Good idea!. From the final day of carving. I don't think the truck belongs to the gentleman carving in this photo.
