contrary to the popular conceits of modern science and ancient religions, there are only two eras of mankind ; BC (before chainsaw) and AC (after chainsaw). there are very few problems that cant be permanently solved with a good chainsaw. country people know this, and thus dont waste time following conventional wisdom.

It's been a dull couple of days photography wise with clear blue skies, so another one from the archives. This is a different version of a wave washed stretch of rock at Ogmore Deeps. Searching for a suitable title, I cam upon Chainsaw Sea by richmond Fontaine, and the sharp rocks do look a bit like the teeth on a chainsaw, so that's fine.

It's a chainsaw. No particular model, but I guess it captured the essence of the tool pretty well. It's lifesized. For Iron Forges Aprils Tools monthly challenge

I visited my family last sunday, and i asked to used a chainsaw for a photo. The hangar you see was built by my grand-father, 50-60 years ago maybe. My grand-father is dead since 2000 i think but the building is very solid, despite the passage of time. Oh and i'm a big fan of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre(1974). A very disturbing movie, that plays a lot on suggestion.

Hey guys!

!!!before you continue, i have a instagram where i will be putting up all my WIPs and other cool stuff! most of the time i will have extra stuff that comes with the figure, like with Ash here i got the possessed deer head and a wooden cabin backdrop!

Be sure to check it out so you don't think im going missing on flickr!!! Its the_fudgy

well my first custom put up in a while, its been long huh? well sorry, i do have customs ready to put up on my photo stream though that's good,

Well anyway here's my Evil Dead Ash, I always had a love for scary movies and this one takes the cake! love this movie! like jeez, he has a chainsaw for a fricking hand! how cool is that?

I enjoyed making this figure, it took around two weeks to finish and i love how it came out! i gave his ripped open shirt on the side fabric so he can still move and fabric for the straps on his shirt. I also made a custom hair piece, I was going for the start of Army of Darkness with this custom. I think it turned out...Groovy

Chain saw was the hardest part to do, For the blade i got a old water bottle cap and cut it down, and everything else was sculpted by me. for the small parts not to break off, i used silly glue all over it, It worked really well! makes it look shiny and it wont break so that's wicket.

For the boomstick i used a brickarms sawed off shotgun and a brickarms winchester and cut off the handle of the winchester and sculpted it on the shotgun and it turned out great!

Well that's it i guess, If you have any questions don't be afraid to leave a comment below because i love talking to you guys, damn that got cheesie...

Captured this one this morning as several of us were helping my uncle get his boat into the water ... here we were at his pier where he has a boat lift to keep it out of the water. The boat is so big that some modifications were in order.

Here one of our friends was in the water with a chain saw ... neat to see the saw chips flying and at 1/4000 second shutter, there is still some sense of motion with the blade teeth.

Somebody should have had safety goggles on though ;)

This one will go into my Life on Middle River Album.

Using chainsaw, chisel and grinder, Ron Cowan has made a name for himself sculpting faces in old barn beams, stumps, and logs.

One of Cowan’s pieces can be found in the city harbor, a seven figure sculpture that slowly disappears beneath the Atlantic tide each day. The artist spent three months placing the pieces in the old cribbing remains of a ship building pier as part of Belfast’s annual Arts in the Park event. Titled “The Long Breath,” the attraction was so popular the city purchased the pieces from Cowan at the end of the summer.

This guy sits in the tree with a chainsaw and watches our garden. Should I be concerned?
