The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Designed by the English engineer William Tierney Clark, it was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest, and was opened in 1849.
It is anchored on the Pest side of the river to Széchenyi (formerly Roosevelt) Square, adjacent to the Gresham Palace and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and on the Buda side to Adam Clark Square, near the Zero Kilometer Stone and the lower end of the Castle Hill Funicular, leading to Buda Castle
Gernot Sarasin was a passionate hunter. All the splendid specimens that he proudly displayed on his newest necklace, he had shot himself. Yet, and this remained a fact he was slightly embarrassed about, there was one last piece missing, to complete his chain of trophies. So Gernot Sarasin saw no other way but to use the Swiss cow’s rear –a terrible fight for life and death – as well.
Dinner was to be served in a few minutes. Gernot twirled his dashing moustache one last time. The ladies of the high-society would devotedly be hanging on every single word of his tales of all the fantastic prowls he had been on. Should one of them dare make a short-witted remark about the Swiss backside, he would take her along on his next prowl. His mother-in-law Lora – the charming lady, flanked by two polar bears– has very much enjoyed it herself at the time.

When you replace a cassette, you need to replace the chain as well. That requires removing the old chain. Here, I've clasped the chain in order to remove a pin.

This is a key chain dangling from the counter, I liked how it stands out as the only subject of the picture.
I wanted to make some cluster earrings and I tried the good old trial and error method and stumbled upon a genius way to make holding on to earrings so much easier.
To start with I wanted to build the earrings on a piece of chain. I found one that used to be a long necklace, and I was just about to cut it into workable earring length bits when I had an epiphany. I hung the chain around my neck and started building the earring on the end of the chain. Usually when working with small earring components I drop them a lot. On my lap, on the table, on the ground. Those little bits are squirrely. But with the chain around my neck, I gradually built an earring on each end.
Then I realized that I had not only made a matching pair of cluster earrings, I'd also made a lariat necklace if I chose not to cut the chain. I actually think the chain is long enough to clip off the 2 earrings now and have enough left over to make a matching lariat necklace!
So I named the earrings Epiphany. And when I write a book, I'm definitely going to include this tip.
