Week four of fifty-two. This week's assignment at DPS is "Centered Composition" so I thought I'd play around with that.
Taken on my nightstand, with a table lamp on the floor behind it.
Not sure if this would be considered 'centered' but it is a bulls-eye... I focused on the treetop at dead center. Thoughts/comments?
"at the center of color"
Here is my photo for today. Have wanted to try a shot like this and figured this idea would work for the current theme.
Need brighter lighting in my "studio". Used 1600 ISO here; it is grainy and could be much sharper.
Centered Composition: Have to wait another 6 months though ;-(

On Angels by Czeslaw Milosz
All was taken away from you: white dresses,
wings, even existence.
Yet I believe you,
messengers.
There, where the world is turned inside out,
a heavy fabric embroidered with stars and beasts,
you stroll, inspecting the trustworthy seems.
Short is your stay here:
now and then at a matinal hour, if the sky is clear,
in a melody repeated by a bird,
or in the smell of apples at close of day
when the light makes the orchards magic.
They say somebody has invented you
but to me this does not sound convincing
for the humans invented themselves as well.
The voice -- no doubt it is a valid proof,
as it can belong only to radiant creatures,
weightless and winged (after all, why not?),
girdled with the lightening. (Otaczany przez *lightning*)
I have heard that voice many a time when asleep
and, what is strange, I understood more or less
an order or an appeal in an unearthly tongue:
day draw near (dzień zbliżamy)
another one (innym)
do what you can. (robić to, co można)

Sanctuary of St Anne's Anglican church, Lutana this morning after the service. This weeks DPS (Digital Photography School) assignment is to go against the rules and use centered composition. These is one of my efforts.
I didn't get around to taking an image specifically for 52frames this week. But, I did take pictures for my schools football games this week, as I usually do. So I flicked through for one that was centered and chose this one. I feel it works best having the focus/subject centered opposed to any other cropping rule.

Break a rule today! Centered composition is generally considered boring and taboo, but can be interesting.

Our pizza group ate here for dinner tonight and I saw their delivery vehicle parked by the tree and thought it would make a fun picture. The bike is actually bright orange but the black and white looked so much better.

A hauntingly surreal glimpse into the minds of Mothmeister — this hybrid taxidermy seahorse-creature pair evokes both awe and unease. Displayed in the atmospheric Crypt Gallery beneath St Pancras Church, London, the installation challenges conventional boundaries between life and art, beauty and grotesque.

It's our "rule breaking" week where we explore "Centered Composition". Often called Bull's Eye Composition, Centered Composition is generally considered too static and a taboo technique. However, a centered subject can be very arresting and dominate the composition.
