Cat scones.

At christmas, Zooplus sent customers dog and cat cookie cutters. Thought I'd try cat cheese scones - pumpkin seed eyes, mushroom nose, celery mouth and cheese and paprika stripes.

Needs a bit of work, but would probably work better as flat cookies in future, I hadnt bargained on what would happen to the faces as the scones rose....🙀 😹

For the Christmas all-day grazing table, I made the one thing that my Grandmother made in the kitchen that people might want to eat - the celery stalk filled with cream cheese.

The "fancy" red ones have the addition of the "exotic" spice paprika. One of three spices in her spice rack. The other two being salt and pepper.

And as much as I am making fun of her for this...I ate MANY of these when visiting.

WIT

I bought this celery this morning, and although it has probably traveled a long way it looks and feels very fresh.

Shot on an outdoor table on this stormy Sunday morning. In post only a bit upping of the green colours (using the technique I learned during Paul's "one selective color" assignment).

My family and I recently took a hike through the Celery Bog Nature Center in Lafayette IN. On this hike I was giving my stepdaughter a crash course on photography. I can't wait to have some more family photo outings!

Laksmi, thanks again for the food tip :)

Today I parked in Lewes and then walked up to Offham and on to Black Cap. The weather was very grey and damp it was much colder than they said it would be and the wind was very blustery. I had hoped to see some butterflies but no chance so down to Ashcombe Bottom and then back up to Mt Harry and reverse walk back to the car in the drizzle. So just five images of flowers and birds and an image to show how murky the weather was.

it's either this or the celery face for:

Sowerby Bridge

Well we checked everywhere and we couldn’t see a beak, any feathers or a pair of long legs in sight.

After we’d stopped laughing my husband took a quick snap of this sign on his phone. So if any staff from Lidl Supermarket (this sign is in Sowerby Bridge but we suspect there will be more) are looking in, maybe it would be a good time to have a word with whoever is responsible for making the signs, and point out that on display beneath it were celery ‘stalks’ :)

The alarming thing was, no one else in the shop, and it was quite, busy seemed to notice the error.

Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

The other is a stalk of celery.

There is a whole series of these vegetables with serious angst.
