From the Site

Geneva is shaped for the way we live today. Home stereo has not kept pace with advances in digital music and contemporary lifestyle. Space is at a premium. Simplicity and style are the alternatives to the clutter of complicated technology. The multi-component concept of home stereo has not changed in many decades while in a few short years tens of millions of people have simplified entire music collections onto tiny hard drives. In a single cabinet the Geneva Sound System offers direct playback of hard drive music while also offering built in capabilities for CDs (with a built-in slot drive), FM radio, and line-in turntables, TV audio, computers and even game consoles.

The giant pubes emanating from the CD player are in fact noise.

The CDs on the ground are "Absolute Music 23", E-Type's "Explorer", and something else.

The back of the Onkyo amp & cd player. This is what I like to see: Lots of options.

This one is used downstairs, which is a music-centric setup, not a home theatre setup. Thus, I wasn't crazy about how little audio the rear speakers received. I wanted the rears to be equivalent to the fronts. So I used speaker-wire-splitters to split the left and right channels. Essentially reducing the stereo from 4 channels to 2. But it sounds much better for what I want.

Not sure what I did with the CD player. I do have a hooked-up-but-hidden CD player in the house (people trying to play cds at your house are annoying); maybe it's this.

Replacement Onkyo TX-SV545 amp to use downstairs in place of my broken $1000 (grrr) 1997 amp. Was the guy getting divorced and not wanting to share his stuff or something? Or maybe he didn't like that the subs buzzed (so turn them off!). Dunno. I do know that I responded to the posting within 2 minutes of it going up. You gotta jump on stuff like this.

I pulled the front off this today. The volume control had been playing up. I didn't get right into its depths, and thought I'd failed dismally - but it works nicely now. - And sounds a Universe better than the Philips thing we've been listening to.
