Light source is by sunlight (in the room with a board to block the sunlight)

I selected the best exposure colors stand out

I only edited this image slightly. I made the definition of the image higher to show the blur of the CD spinning in the CD player.

I don’t really like this idea of activities as I don’t know where it would lead me.

I really like living alone and the Tonya time and all that kind of thing. But I really need to get out and socialize...any ideas !

LEE was Learning English Electronically, a grammar CD-ROm we created in 1998 and updated in 2000, designed for ESL students to learn basic skills.

The project began even before I started here in 1992; it had been half built on some old mainframe application, then a beta version of Autorware, and when I arrived, it was about 60% complete in HyperCard (but the code was an inconsistent mess).

I started from scratch with the existing content, and we built a cross platform application (Mac and Windows) using Macromedia Director.

Amazingly, people still request the software, which we make available for a $10 handling fee. The sale of more than 1500 of these has enabled us to do big runs of replication, and eventually to purchase the Bravo II replicator/printer we use now to print our own discs.

The content includes audio stories we recorded in the sound rooma t Phoenix College. I have several speaking parts.

Someone took a bite (or two rather) out of my new CD...

SAAB (of Sweden) had always made some oddball cars. This was not always a good way of returning profits to development. By the mid-1980s, it was clear that the luxury market, to which SAAB aspired, had consolidated to the 3-box sedan.

The 9000 was part of the Type Four program, a pooled platform which yielded large cars for Alfa Romeo (164), FIAT (Croma), Lancia (Thema), and the SAAB 9000. By the time all the cars had been launched, all but SAAB were now part of the wider FIAT combine. An approach was made in the 1990s for SAAB to also be purchased, but this was rejected.

The SAAB 9000, which had originally been launched as a large 5-door in 1984, was updated to include a second body design - a conventional saloon, in late 1988. The car was called the 9000 CD, and the chief market was the US.

On endearing feature of SAABs was their practicality and utility, and though the 9000 CD was more useful than most sedans, SAAB buyers actually preferred their cars as 5-doors. The 9000 CD continued until 1998, when the car was replaced by the SAAB 9.5, a second attempt at a GM-derived platform project. GM's ownership of SAAB came to a conclusion with the remnants of SAAB sold first to Dutch boutique manufacturer Spyker, after GM's bankruptcy in 2009. SAAB was declared insolvent in 2012, and the remaining assets purchased by Chinese owned NEVS.

Greetings from the red head phase front

Have a great weekend my friends !

(sorry I cut one - not a weekend, a photo heehee )

I randomly came across Bobby Andersen's CD Cover Meme creation today after browsing his portfolio and thought it would be fun to do as a design exercise.

Here's the deal:

1) Band Name

Get the name of the band from a random Wikipedia article, the first title on the page, using this URL: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random

2) Album Title

Get the title of the album from a random quotation, the last 4 words of the last quote on the page from this URL: www.quotationspage.com/random.php3

3) Album Art

Get the album art for the CD from Flickr's Interestingness page, the 3rd photo from the random listing you get from this URL: www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/

Create Your Own

If you want to use the Jewelboxing CD case above, designed by Wolfgang Bartelme for Coversutra, you can manually grab the icon resource from the application's contents.

My result came out pretty well I think. My band, Orcrist, is named after the legendary sword, wielded by Thorin Oakenshield, which means "Goblin Cleaver." The album title, "Of Manhood & Self-Reliance," comes from a John Neal quote. And my album art, which could not be a more perfect photo to randomly show up, is My Blurry Vision by Espen Dalmo of 8thSESSION (who was kind enough to allow me to use his photo even though it isn't licensed under Creative Commons).

Alright, now it's your turn.

Wearing a cute dress always gets me excited.
