Bought a new Asus VS229H-P monitor to use with my 2 yr old HP DV6-1350US Laptop and added a Logitech Z305 clip on USB powered speaker...as I get older and we all do the 15.6" laptop screen just wasn't cutting it..the Asus is only 21.5" and does not take up a lot of territory on my desk and it has infinite settings for both video and picture editing plus surfing the web...

Florence Township NJ Emergency Medical Squad #4081 filling in for Mansfield Squad 3300 as an elderly neighbor apparently had a fainting spell per her husband and fell and hit her head and had to be transported to the hospitol..we are fortunate to have our own local great squad but also the guys and gals from Florence to back us up if they are unavailable..both units do a great job and the Florence group a couple of times a year has a Hoagie sale to help raise funds and they are "good"

Just some pictures I took yesterday after Hurricane Sandy as thought we were lucky and bit the bullet as still had power and have yet to get to use the portable generator I bought this past summer but time will come as still have winter to get through. Had just a bunch of leaves and couple of small dead limbs down...no missing shingles or aluminum siding as I had feared..just a loose down spout from one of the rain gutters that was easily repaired.

But as daylight broke could here the noise of chain saws and I though how rude to reawaken me after I had spent about 15 minutes out in all the mess looking for my morning Philadelphia Inquirer so after about a half hour of trying to get back to sleep my curiosity got the best of me and got dressed and ventured out one more time to see what the hell was going on...by now it was daylight and I could see just how lucky I was...as within a block each direction of my home neighbors had trees down..shingles missing and solar panels nearly ripped from their roofs..worst was four doors down from me as they had a 40' tree from neighbors yard come crashing through the fence and land in their backyard with only slight damage to roof and rain gutter...but with all that has happened in Northern New Jersey and the Jersey shore (Atlantic City & LBI) then New York and with millions without power me and our development was truly lucky...

You can be thirsty..but drink responsibly as we do. Toni is Italian and she likes wine and we both liked Bridgeview Vineyards and still do but hard to get now here in NJ and we tried Barefoot and "really" LIKE and I save a couple of bucks...

Was woke up early this morning by the screams of a woman..so fumbled around for my glasses and grabbed my robe and pistol and ran out the front door only to find out a neighbor had locked herself out when getting her morning paper..what a sight bra and panties only and 38 here this morning..by the time I had stopped laughing and grabbed my camera another neighbor took her in...

Some of the neighbors were gathered out in our backyard as they "thought" they saw an EAGLE flying around so I grabbed a video camera and rushed out only to find out it was a dam buzzard...I live in a gated 55+ community and some of my neighbors are not quite with it if you get my drift...but hell in 30 years or so I may be like them...scary and I have a license to carry a gun...

While Toni was making breakfast wondered why the cat had her face pressed the glass in the sun room...birds were bathing in old bird bath laying on the ground..shoot through a dirty window...Toni's fault...LOL

I live in a gated 55+ community so the grounds crew naturally does all the plowing and shoveling ~ they have these Kubota tractors they use and I want one..do not know what I would do with it, just kind of a guy thing as hated giving up my Toro snow blower when I moved here..guys and our toys as they make it look like fun...maybe I am jealous...?

What a bust as went to bed last night anticipating 4" or so of light fluffy snow so I could try my new Toro 1800 Power Curve snow blower and we got 2" of wet snow and it was sleeting when I went out to try it...there will be other storms and maybe a big Noreater..?..ironey of it all is that I live in a gated community and they shovel and plow for us...but was on sale plus our section is on the tale end of the snow removal schedule this yr so thought it was a great buy....!

Our new shopping plaza between Homestead and Country Walk developments..not finished yet but we have an Italian Resturant..ice cream polor..nail salon..deli..cleaners..new bank and a couple of yet undetermined stores plus a large supermarket but not sure under whose name brand yet..will be great for Mansfield Twp to have it's own large grocery store and close enough for me that I could walk there if I wanted
