Bunch o' redwoods, fresh and barbecued - renewed growth as is normal with redwoods, fire and tenacity. CZU August Complex at Ben Lomond Mt Ridge/Summit Santa Cruz Mountains, California
Uhhh... I think I'll stand, thanks.
Not sure what happened here, but to no surprise, this was the last empty seat in the park.
I would not have guessed that this would be my most viewed and favorited photo. As of Feb 2006, it's been viewed 500 times and marked as a favorite by 23 people.

SOOOOO my mom ordered a packet of cute and colorful beads for two of my siblings and it had this warning on it.
(Just in case you can't see it)
It Says:
"Not recommended for children under 14 years of age."
Unfortunately, they are too young to use these highly dangerous beads.ლ(⸟ᨎ⸟ლ)
(งᴗᗝᴗ)ง Of average size, if I might add.
Needless to say however, they used them anyways. And I'm very happy to announce that no one was harmed in the making of those lethal doll bracelets. 😂

Wary of what's above.
From the same Morraine Park pack of most of the rest of my coyote pics. They just always seem to be in the same place. Tuesday there was four of them, I followed them (literally) for quite a ways.

On York Bay, Magellanic penguins have gathered along the crests of dunes for the night. The sunrise finds them bathed in golden light and silhouetted against an orange sky. Unlike King and Gentoo penguins, in this species caution prevails when around humans. They do their best to keep a good distance from anyone on the beach. It’s so interesting to observe the differences in behaviors in animals of similar derivation living in the same biome.

The unexpected rainfall challenged my outdoor shot today so I took it to an underpass. It may not by the safest place to setup my camera gear, but this is what I achieved by throwing caution to the wind.
Day 329/365
The city on the move. One of many, but not all, city neighborhoods that have had dozens and dozens of houses torn down and the land cleared for whatever plans are coming next. This is Eastlawn Street in the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood of Detroit. These are the last two abandoned houses on the block, but no worries, as in other parts of the city, there are a few well-maintained houses up the road, near the abandoned Monteith Branch Library on Kercheval Ave.

Commuters stream down the escalator towards the platform at Toledo station as one tourist pauses at the foot of the up escalator to snap a shot of the impressive mosaic. The caution sign was intended to warn folk that the lift was out of order although it was probably more appropriate as a warning for folk stopping suddenly to snap away.
