So I shoot with Jordan a lot, but I barely ever shoot anything conceptual of him. Last week I decided it was time to change that and it ended up being very similar to the only other conceptual photo I've ever shot of him, years back when we were just friends.

What has become an annual event that just keeps on keeping on, is the Auto fest Spring car Nats held in Shepparton. Here is a link to the event organisers page, autofest.com.au/.
The event has been going for over 30 years, and for many there is no better way to spend the weekend than with like-minded people, as the entrants burn rubber with an excess of horsepower, that is thankfully quite obscene : )
There was and is everything from the go to woe, handling events, drifting, and of cause burn outs! Burnouts bouncing of the rev limiting, literally hitting the redline burnouts. How much rubber do they burn, enough so I can smell it from my house nearly a mile away : ) PS the smoke signals might be cultural appropriation, so some one should bring along a Pontiac and make it officially ok : P
Jack Danniels www.jackdaniels.com/en-au has a bar, so Tennessee is represented, although in the main part, not much American iron turns up at the event in comparison to the Australian contingent and Japanese cars.
V8s are the flavour, although you might be surprised like I was this year to see a Honda S2000 turn up, a pleasant inclusion, with one of the all-time great 4 bangers in it.
Black snot is a thing, that is if you can handle the close quarters action! You might like to take some year plugs, even then for about mile you will still be able to hear the cars at it.
As a car enthusiast I enjoy the day, friendly people getting their thing on, and having a great time.
PS. Make sure you drink lots of water, and keep hydrated!
...cause EVERYBODY smoked back then, even while getting their haircut.

The light trail here is caused by a motorcycle cruising down the alleyway while I was taking the exposure.

I saw the disturbance caused by this bull moose browsing in the brush running all the way down to the water's edge. I was in a small boat and decided to head for shore to wait for a photo opportunity. Unfortunately, as I reached the bank, I could not see over the brush while sitting in my little boat, though I could see the leaves and branches shaking as the moose continued to feed. I then did the two dumbest things you can do when trying to get a shot of a normally shy animal - I stood up in the boat and shouted. The moose lifted his head, I clicked the shutter and got most of his head and shoulders in frame. Having checked me out, he carried on browsing and, though I hung around and tried the same tactic again, he was obscured even when he did lift his head. The most compelling aspect of this encounter for me was the complete lack of fear or animosity on the moose's part. I kept pace with him for some time as he browsed slowly through the brush, parallel to the shoreline. I didn't get another shot but it was a wonderful wilderness lake experience. Pop Art abstract of a road near the Nuclear Power Plant. If this is too abstract or manipulated for the group I'll understand. It started by trying to make the poles and wires stand out a little more and ended up sort of making a statement.

Back in the summer of 1985, I grabbed these two shots of N&W F7 3725 in Monticello just after the locomotive was delivered to the Monticello Railway Museum. I have to admit that I didn't hold out much hope at the time that this old Canadian Wabash road warrior could be restored back to its original 1950's splendor. I'm sure glad that I was wrong, but every time I see the 1189 at the MRM I always think back to my first encounter with a very forlorn looking old F unit.

At the edge of Europe, light pollution is usually not a big factor when shooting the night sky but the temporary lights of a large construction project (center left) cause a noticeable intrusion.
Ikarus buses as far as the eye can see, from this year's Tapolca event.
As always, the rally is the most impressive part of the international Ikarus happening, which took part for the third time in 2022.
I counted 50 buses on this image, taken from Mindszentkálla, showing the last buses just leaving Köveskál village and its churches behind, with the basalt rock faces of Hegyestű and a hint of Lake Balaton in the distance.
My editing style will always evolve, and I hope that it continues to progress in a positive way. I love how far I have come in the last three years. I'm glad that something caused me to look through the old. The effect was very much in my favor.
