Causing harm or destruction, especially with supernatural powers. Well thats the meaning from the Oxford but I just think it looks like the Angelina Jolie character wowing her audience with a blast of magic.
There goes my heart beating
Cause you are the reason
I'm losing my sleep
Please come back now
There goes my mind racing
And you are the reason
That I'm still breathing
I'm hopeless now
I'd climb every mountain
And swim every ocean
Just to be with you
And fix what I've broken
Oh, ‘cause I need you to see
That you are the reason
There goes my hands shaking
Cause you are the reason
My heart keeps bleeding
And I need you now
If I could turn back the clock
I'd make sure the light defeated the dark
I'd spend every hour, of every day
Keeping you safe
I'd climb every mountain
And swim every ocean
Just to be with you
And fix what I've broken
Oh, ‘cause I need you to see
That you are the reason
You are the reason
Yeah, yeah...
I'd climb every mountain
And swim every ocean
Just to be with you
And fix what I've broken
Oh, ‘cause I need you to see
That you are the reason..."

Isn't the world a better place where there are no ugly orange street lights and everything looks of blue steel and white chrome with crisp lines and vibrant colors... well, at least I think so. If you would like your world to look like this then vote Yes to The Blue Movement. Sorry, I have no idea what I'm talking about and now I'm just rambling. Here's more stars and stripes to feast your eyes on. I think I like how this one turned out much more than the last one. Anyhow, I'm off to work. Hope you all have a great Blue Monday.

Early in the morning I still get a little bit nervous
Fighting my anxiety constantly I try to control it
Even when I know it's been forever I can still feel the spin
Hurts when I remember and I never wanna feel it again
Don't know if you get it cause I can't express how thankful I am
That you were always with me when it hurts I know that you understand
I don't wanna lose control
Nothing I can do anymore
Trying every day when I hold my breath
Spinning out in space pressing on my chest
I don't wanna lose control
Sometimes I still think it's coming but I know it's not
Trying to breathe in and then out but the air gets caught
Cause even though I'm older now and I know how to shake off the past
I wouldn't have made it if I didn't have you holding my hand
I don't wanna lose control
Nothing I can do anymore
Trying every day when I hold my breath
Spinning out in space pressing on my chest
I don't wanna lose control
I need you to know I would never be this strong without you
You've seen how I've grown you took all my doubt
Cause you were home
I don't wanna lose control
There's nothing I can do anymore
I don't wanna lose control
Nothing I can do anymore (anymore), anymore
Trying every day when I hold my breath
Spinning out in space pressing on my chest
I don't wanna lose control
Ko Kret was originally a meander located on Chao Phraya River. Due to Chao Praya river's curvy path, ships often take longer time to reach Ayutthaya, Siam's capital at the time. During the reign of King Thaisa, His majesty wanted to reduce shipping time and improve the kingdom's economy. Thus, he planned a canal which would bypass the meander and act as a shortcut for maritime transport. According to the Ayutthaya chronicles, the canal was dug in 1722, requiring around 10,000 men and taking over a month to complete. After the canal was dug, shipping to Ayutthaya became faster and the canal was called "Klong Lat Kret" by locals. As time passes, the canal became gradually wider due to erosion and became part of the river itself, causing Ko Kret to become an island.

After finding Adamson's calotype method didn't permit much time between coating and developing when it was warm here, I decided to try Arsène Pélegry's method as modified by Rick Lanning. Aside from some speckles (my fault) it worked a treat. It's 2 stops slower than Adamson's method and perhaps more expensive, but the negatives just might last long enough to take on a trip - that would be wonderful.
Plus it seems to work well right up to the edge. I had problems with my Adamson's negatives where the varying ratios of chemicals - plus my fingerprints - would cause a lot of crap near the borders.

Why is World Parrot Day so important to this cockatoo?
In late 2021, the rare and striking palm cockatoo had its conservation status reclassified from least concern to endangered following a recent population drop. Major habitat loss has been cited as the primary cause of the species’ decline. Australia’s palm cockatoos are found only in the rainforests of Cape York Peninsula, at the northern tip of Queensland. Land clearing due to mining and worsening bushfires due to climate change are shrinking the species’ already limited viable habitat.
Making matters worse, the palm cockatoo has an unusually slow rate of reproduction. Females lay only a single egg every two years. Research suggests that chick loss to due predation results in palm cockatoo pairs only producing—on average—a single offspring every ten years. There are thought to be fewer than 1,500 birds remaining in the wild. (Source: www.aviculturehub.com.au/)
While photographing in the Cape York Peninsula in November 2022, we went out five nights in a row to look for these birds as they came in from a day of foraging. We were lucky to watch this particular male on several nights when he called loudly to claim his territory and bring in his mate. See flic.kr/p/2oEf6eG for a photo of the pair.
It was incredible being able to watch these birds on multiple evenings and witness a wide range of behaviors including the famous drumming they do with sticks and hard nuts; this behavior has earned them the nickname "Ringo Star."

You put the flowers in the vase that you bought today
Staring at the fire for hours and hours while I listen to you
Play your love songs all night long for me, only for me
Come to me now and rest your head for just five minutes, everything is good
Such a cozy room, the windows are illuminated by the
Sunshine through them, fiery gems for you, only for you

Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy 'cause of you

This year we end the Seven Days of Thanksgiving series in Paprihaven on the day after. Why? While it is wonderful to have a day set aside specifically to acknowledge our impossible debt to God by expressing our gratitude, every day should truly be a day of thanksgiving. After the amazing celebration at the Simmons,* the girls are back at Tracy's house.
Tracy: Wow. So tired. What a great time. Thank you, God.
Buckley: I'm so stuffed! I'll sleep on this bench if I can't make it upstairs.
Tracy: Who said you're staying here??
Buckley: You gotta be responsible, Trace! You can't let me drive home in this condition.
Briar: HAHAHA!
Tracy: You're not drunk! You don't even drink!
Buckley: I'm loaded with tryptophan. I can't make it. I'm DONE FOR, offissaaAAaa!
Briar: HAHA! What's 'trippafan'?
Tracy: It's an amino acid in turkey that people say makes you sleepy. I think what happened is we all just ate too much.
Briar: I ate sooooo much! I looooved that corn casserole! Who made that?
Tracy: I think Honor did.
Buckley: Ooohhh, I'm gonna pop. Let's just all get in bed, under the covers, and tell stories til we fall asleep.
Briar: That's FUN!
Buckley: But y'all GOTTA CARRY ME UUUUUUP!
Briar: HAHAHA!
Tracy: Oh, good grief. I'm stuck with both of you tonight. Are you sure you even have homes? You're always here.
Buckley: Oh! Haha! On Paprichat, Sheila Harper posted a video of her poodle grabbing a piece of turkey from the table!
Briar: I want to see that!
Tracy: Can you not be on your phone for like two seconds? And, I want to see too. And, who's Sheila Harper?
Buckley: She's got that pretty green Jaguar? Always real shiny? **
Tracy: Oh, yes.
Briar: I wanna see the video!
Buckley: Then come over here.
Briar: Can't move. You come over here.
Buckley: Uh uh.
Briar: BuuUUUUCK!!!
Buckley: You're outta luck, kid.
*WOOF!*
Briar: Hey, Biff!
Buckley: The Biffster!
Tracy: Wow, what a great day. And now we're just chilling. Peace. Joy. Love. God is good.
Buckley: All the TIME!
Briar: All the time!
Tracy: And, all the time...
Buckley: God is GOOD!
Briar: God is good!
Tracy: Bible challenge, then we somehow struggle upstairs. God's loving kindness. Psalm 117:2, "For His lovingkindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord is everlasting. Praise the Lord!"
Briar: Psalm 63:3, "Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You."
...
Tracy: Buckley...
Buckley: Um... What's the one? "Please answer me God because you are loving and kind... and compassionate?"
Tracy: Close enough! Psalm 69:16, "Answer me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good; According to the greatness of Your compassion, turn to me." Okay, upstairs! Up!

God wants you to give thanks.
Well, Thanksgiving came and went. Did your gratitude last beyond your afternoon nap? For many, that’s the extent of their thanksgiving—a one-time, get-it-out-of-the-way holiday that reminds them to reflect on how blessed they are. Too often and too quickly, people resort back to being ingrates. But God wills us to be thankful all the time, in all things. That’s the point of 1 Thessalonians 5:18 where Paul says, “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” So if you’re saved, Spirit-filled, sanctified, submissive, and suffering, you have one thing left to do in order to follow God’s will—be saying thanks.
Paul’s simple, direct command—in everything give thanks—allows believers no excuse for harboring ingratitude. In everything carries an unlimited requirement. It refers to everything that occurs in life. With the obvious exception of personal sin, we are to express thanks for everything. No matter what struggles or trials, God commands us to find reasons for thanking Him always (Acts 5:41; James 1:2-3; 1 Peter 1:6-9). That’s His will.
If you’re not obeying that command, you’re not following God’s will. Think of it like this: If gratitude doesn’t come easy for you, neither will finding God’s will. Or to put it another way, if you struggle with being thankful, you’ll struggle with following God’s will. Need some motivation? Here are some reasons God wills you to be thankful:
God commands it:
Gratitude should come naturally to believers in response to all God has done on their behalf, but because of our hardness of heart, God enjoins us to thanksgiving with commands (Philippians 4:6; Colossians 2:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:18). Therefore, all forms of ingratitude are sinful. Paul commanded the Colossians, “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful” (Colossians 3:15).
When Paul describes the believer’s Spirit-filled life, he writes, “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father” (Ephesians 5:20). God doesn’t merely command those expressions of gratitude and leave believers helpless to comply. He enables us to articulate them (Philippians 2:13), and is pleased when we do.
Joni Eareckson Tada, who was involved in an accident that left her paralyzed from the neck down, writes, “Giving thanks is not a matter of feeling thankful, it's a matter of obedience.”
Thankfulness acknowledges God’s sovereignty:
The single, greatest act of worship you can render to God is to thank Him. It’s the epitome of worship because through gratitude, we affirm God as the ultimate source of both trial and blessing—and acknowledge our humble acceptance of both.
With a thankful heart, you can say in the midst of anything, “God be praised.” That kind of attitude looks beyond the circumstance to the plan of God. It sees beyond the pain to the sovereignty of God. It remembers, “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). An attitude of thankfulness enables us to deal with those who wrong us, saying with Joseph, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20). Those who are thankful see the providential hand of God everywhere and say, “God, I thank You for the peaceful times as well as the hard times—a difficult marriage, a challenging job, a severe illness—because I know You will use those things for my good and Your glory.”
The grateful Christian remembers that suffering perfects, confirms, strengthens, and establishes him (1 Peter 5:10). God wills that kind of thankfulness.
God judges ingratitude:
William Shakespeare wrote, “How sharper than a serpent's tooth it is to have a thankless child. Ingratitude thou marble hearted fiend.” If Shakespeare understood the hostile attitude behind thanklessness, imagine what God must think about it.
Ingratitude is the very essence of an unregenerate heart, ranking among the most intolerable sins in Scripture. The apostle Paul identified unbelievers as ungrateful: “For even though they knew God [through conscience and general revelation], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened” (Romans 1:21). Because man in his pride fails to honor and glorify God as Creator, he also refuses to thank Him for His gracious provision. Ingratitude betrays unbelief, and both sins bring about God’s judgment.
Although God is the source of every good thing that men possess—giving life, breath, rain, sunshine, and other natural blessings to the just and unjust alike (Matthew 5:45; Acts 14:15–17)—the natural man refuses to thank Him. In his fallen mind, to thank God is to acknowledge his own obligation to worship Him.
In summary, God wills our being thankful in all things because gratitude is the ultimate expression of a transformed heart. But thanklessness can infest and destroy a church, marriage, family and home. So cultivate a heart of gratitude. Be thankful for all things and in all circumstances. That’s God’s will. Are you following it?

Another beautiful scene from Skyland Meadows State Park in Virginia. I cannot wait to get a chance to get back out in some early morning light to shoot.
I am not religious at all, I believe in good and bad and that is it. In my opinion religion has caused most of the problems in the world..
However, when there is a natural display of beauty as there was this morning I can't help but wonder if there is a guiding hand after all.

Planet Earth is 4.5 billion years old. Mankind is about 140 thousand years old. If we compress the Earth's existence into a normal full day of 24 hours, then we’ve been on this planet for... 2.5 seconds.
In 2.5 seconds we’ve become the dominant species with a rapidly growing population, causing a catastrophic impact on the environment. We have created the industrial revolution and burned fossil fuels creating more carbon in the atmosphere than ever before. We have caused global warming at a record pace, endangering our own existence. We have cut trees and destroyed forests more than ever before, polluted air, water, and soil. We have created an island of waste, the size of the state of Texas, in the middle of the ocean. We have caused the 4th mass animal extinction. Three-quarters of Earth’s land surface is under pressure from human activity. In just 2.5 seconds we’ve turned the planet into our own personal factory.
It took almost 4.5 billion years of evolution for us to exist and we have changed so much in so little time.
The problem is us. And it is up to us if we want to make it to the 4th second.
-
With my project “2.5 seconds” I hope to bring awareness about climate change, to start a conversation about the issue and to educate more people about the facts, the urgency of the crisis and the seriousness of its consequences. The project is a series of photographs that highlight the environmental crisis through metaphors and symbolism. Each one of them illustrates and represents a specific environmental issue using allegorical figures and subjects, props, costumes and natural landscapes.
I used “2.5 seconds” as a title because I wanted to invoke the power of numbers and perspective to create a strong, straightforward and shocking effect.
It all started with an idea I had almost 3 years ago. I have always loved nature, and have been both amazed and captivated by our planet’s beauty. I've traveled to many places before, but none of them could compare to what I felt and saw in Iceland. Visiting Iceland for the first time had a great impact on me and made me realize that our planet is fragile and its beauty may disappear. The thought that nature is being affected and destroyed by the changing climate became personal, shocking and upsetting. I wanted to capture and preserve Iceland's incredible beauty through my art while I still can.
The pressure from human activity is having a catastrophic impact on the environment that endangers our own existence. But I feel like ecology problems that are threatening our environment and affecting everyone on the planet do not get enough media attention.
I am using photography as my unique voice to express how I feel and share my fear for the future. I want to bring more meaning to my work and create a strong message for all the people out there. I hope my art will be louder and clearer than words.
The time to act is now.

The Krämerbrücke, here a look inside the Krämerbrücke, is a bridge in the Thuringian city of Erfurt in Germany which is covered with inhabited, half timbered buildings on both sides. It is unique in Europe north of the Alps. The footbridge spans the Breitstrom, a branch of Gera River, connecting Benediktsplatz and Wenigemarkt.
The bridge was built next to a ford and was part of the west-eastern trade route Via Regia. Originally constructed from wood, it was first mentioned in 1117 after its destruction by one of the many fires. Its first documentary evidence as “pons rerum venalium” dates back to 1156. Already on this wooden bridge grocers had erected stands on both sides.
Because of repeated fires in 1175, 1178, 1213, 1222, 1245, 1265, and 1293 the municipal administration acquired all bridge rights from the monasteries in 1293 in order to build a stone bridge, which was finished in 1325 with uninhabited half-timbered stands on top of it. At both bridgeheads stone churches with gate passages were erected, at the western end St. Benedicti and at the eastern end St. Aegidien, which had existed as a bridge chapel in beforehand (first mentioned in 1110).
The 79 m long arch bridge has been erected in lime- and sandstonework and since then consists of six visible barrel vaults with diametres from 4.8 m to 7.8 m.
After a city fire in 1472, which destroyed nearly half of the city and the stands on the bridge, it was reconstructed in its current form with then 62 half-timbered buildings. To make the three-storey houses of 13 m to 15 m height habitable, the deepness of the buildings was extended by the wooden “Sprengwerke” next to the arch vaults. The width of the bridge finished in 1486 since then amounts to 26 m with a space of 5.5 m between the two rows of houses. At the latest since 1510 the name Krämerbrücke (which means "grocers' bridge") was commonly used.
Till the 18th century the number of houses on the bridge had been reduced to 38, due to unification and reconstruction caused by fires. The church St. Benedicti was sold in 1807 and demolished in 1810 in order to build a new house. In 1895 its tower had to give place to the newly built “Rathausbrücke” (town hall bridge), which crosses the river parallel. For this project it was discussed to pull down the entire bridge.
Because of its special importance for the history of Erfurt and history of architecture in general, the Krämer Bridge was granted special preservation in GDR-times. All buildings were restored from 1967 to 1973 and extensive repair works were done to the vaults in 1985/1986 and 2002. Since then the bridge may be used by cars up to a weight of 11 tons.

I chose this photo cause its starting to feel like people are looking in !! and im not sure what their looking at I think they look past me and go right into the mirror to see what that side of my life looks like.
I guess its cool in a way but its weird also im just me !! ive been fucked up me my whole life and now people are interested in my story and in my photos and its AMAZING but so bizarre!!!!
I met with the publicist today at a coffee place in town which was so weird ! when the bill came which is my worst part always!! She immediately said on me! Which was very nice… (I only had juice anyway ) she said some wonderful things and was talking about some amazing connections shes gonna try do for me I need her for the rest of my life to promote my work ! fuck but she probably costs allot of money. Anyway as we were ending the meeting and saying great and wow and thanks I didn’t know what to do with my self cause she was till sitting and I thought I'd wait to get up with her and then she said " im gonna stay here for a bit" so I thought oh shit!! How embarrassing !!!!!!!!!! it took all my confidence !! I was gonna go to the framing place to show them the paper I've printed on to make sure it sticks and to see the place and I just couldn’t go in ! all my anxiety came flooding in !! and I couldn’t cope all of a sudden. My mom sais its funny I can show my nude photos but I can't be in a restaurant without freaking out ! I guess that’s what people will always ask me …and that’s what people will never understand hu…
So now after 6 months on flickr I get an email asking me if I can send some photos for an article in a website their writing about me !! now that I have a publicist that doesn’t allow anything to be written about me without her consent!! Anyway I emailed her asking if its ok .. it will suck if she sais no…but its all about my ARTIST persona and how it all looks so she said… I don’t know I'm just me… you know… fucked up me… I'm not an artist I'm maybe !! a photographer and I can't even call me self that cause I'm not making any money from it or working at it am I …
