"Campo Santo" can be literally translated as "holy field", because it is said to have been built around a shipload of sacred soil from Golgotha, brought back to Pisa from the Third Crusade.
The building was the fourth and last one to be raised in the Cathedral Square.
The Campo Santo contained a huge collection of Roman sarcophagi and the walls of the vast structure were covered in over 2600 meters squared of frescoes, a greater expanse than the Sistine Chapel.
On 27 July 1944, a bomb fragment from an Allied raid started a fire in the Camposanto, which burned for three days, causing the timber lead roof to collapse.

I was worried. But now I understand why they are working so much and they don't take that many pictures of me these days. They have to photograph humans so they can take even better pictures of me with this.
My inlaws were visiting our area of Florida and invited us over for an afternoon lunch at their condo rental in Madeira Beach. This view looks out unto an inlet off the bay and as you can see many people have boats and they hail from all parts of the U.S. and Carribean.
Sadly as I upload this I am thinking of those in another part of the world who are suffering and it is hard to accept that someone is always the cause of grief for so many, making me ever grateful for my Freedoms. Prayers for Ukraine........

Waves crash along the shore of Tallow Beach in Byron Bay Australia. Stretching south 6.5km from Cosy Corner to Broken Head, Tallow Beach is one of the most photographed beaches on the east coast of Australia. Tallows is an unprotected beach, causing the surf to be choppy and erratic with dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and frequent rips.
Changes in pressure over the wings cause water vapour in the air to condense and form clouds, as this RAF Typhoon roars heavenwards.
