The Universal is a science fiction song written as a tribute to two films by film director Stanley Kubrick. This photograph was taken recently at Upper Seletar Reservoir. It was breezy, with drifting clouds illuminated by the setting sun.
A father and his son were admiring the colourful landscape and stood next to the small jetty and boats. The ripples caused by the breeze provided some textures to the reservoir surface.

Off the water and back to the woods to soak up some of the remaining color which is holding fairly well, especially given the strong winds we've had the last few days. I went out specifically to take a bunch of photos to upload into my "new friend," with the single and not unrealistic (I thought) hope of being able to find them...which I did, but not until after numerous wrong guesses as to where I thought they seemingly should be...like "Pictures."
By the way, I appreciate your support and tips re: my new desk top (not a laptop as some seem to have guessed), and it progresses slowly. I really don't use a computer for much other than my photos so I haven't even begun to tap the capabilities of this one...and am uncertain as to whether I will even try or not. What I would like to find is the 90% of my photos which did not appear with the others when I transferred them from the flash drive to the new computer. 10% are in fancy new folders...the rest unpleasantly invisible. Everything sees very hit and miss...mostly miss for now causing me to simply walk away from the computer and find other occupations. My learning curve and patience have both suffered with old age.

le Rougegorge familier est peu farouche et son plumage attractif l'ont rendu populaire chez des générations de jardiniers; en réalité le rouge-gorge fait partie d'une espèce d'oiseau très agressive, et certains mâles se battent parfois à mort pour défendre leur territoire. Présent dans presque chaque jardin, c'est l'un des oiseaux les moins sauvages, cherchant sa nourriture à proximité des humains en train de jardiner. Il ira jusqu'à venir se nourrir de proies vivantes, comme des vers de terre ou des vers de farine, présentés à la main. Si l'hiver est rude, il deviendra encore plus familier, car le manque de nourriture provoqué par la neige et la glace le rend très vulnérable.
Le rouge-gorge défend un territoire à longueur d'année, sauf durant la mue et si l'hiver est très froid. En hiver, les femelles occupent et défendent aussi un territoire. Celui-ci leur est nécessaire non seulement pour nicher, mais aussi pour garantir une source suffisante de nourriture. Un rouge-gorge sans territoire meurt au bout de quelques semaines. C'est pourquoi cet espace est défendu avec une telle énergie. En général, il suffit que le propriétaire exhibe son plastron rouge pour que l'intrus recule, mais il peut arriver que la lutte s'engage et les combats s'achèvent parfois par la mort de l'un des adversaires.
À l'opposé de nombreux autres oiseaux, le rouge-gorge vit en solitaire pendant l'automne et l'hiver mâle et femelle restant sur leur territoire hivernal respectif avec comme résultat qu'ils continuent à chanter même en hiver.

No, it is the the Time and Tide Bell near Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire Coast.. On this vast beach it can be seen for miles but the weather although warm had a featureless almost colourless sky due to haze caused by pollution. I did my best to inject a little more blue into the sky without changing the colour of the bell but its still a little blah..
Nevertheless here it is...I would love to get another photo of this sometime and the beach is beautiful and vast and if you bump into anyone its rare - although the foot prints show that it does have a regular stream of visitors. Two people walking the shoreline in this shot show the scale of this beach ( if you can make their tiny figures out )
It starts ringing as soon as the tide comes in and other bells like it have already been installed at six beaches across the country.
Time and Tide Bell is an art project made up of bells, designed by UK sculptor Marcus Vergette and Australian bell designer Neil McLachlan, installed at coastal locations in the UK. The first one was placed at Appledore, Devon, in 2009 and the seventh at Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire in June 2019

Privet berries are the dark blue-black fruits of the Ligustrum genus of shrubs, known to be poisonous to humans and causing symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting if ingested. While toxic to humans, the berries are a food source for many birds and are often found in clusters on the branches, ripening in the late summer or fall.
The fruits are poisonous to humans but readily eaten by birds, making it possible for the seeds to spread far and wide.

Крім того, в Україні цьому виду надають назви, пов'язані із властивостями його плодів. Найвідоміша з них — вовчі ягоди — притаманна також деяким іншим чагарникам з чорними ягодами. Виникнення цієї назви обумовлене отруйністю плодів бирючини (несправжніх ягід), які можуть заподіяти шкоди не тільки людині, а й тваринам. Виды бирючины распространены в Европе, Северной Африке, Азии и в Австралии, с центром разнообразия в Гималаях, Китае, Японии и на Тайване.
Растение красиво цветет белыми соцветиями. Цветы и листья его не ядовиты, а вот черные ягоды – при употреблении вызывают сильную рвоту, головокружение, диарею, потерю сознания, а в редких случаях даже возможен смертельных исход.
Увага! Вживання лише 5 ягід викликає вірну смерть. Особливо отруйна бирючина блискуча. Якщо ви випадково отруїлися вовчими ягодами, необхідно терміново вжити відповідних заходів щодо очищення шлунка і викликати швидку допомогу.
Плоды округлой формы, представляют собой блестящую круглую ягоду темно-синего цвета. Для людей ядовиты. Цветки белые, ароматные, собраны в черешчатые метельчатые соцветия. Цветение в июне-июле.
Это растение содержит гликозид сирингин (лигустрин), и шикимовую кислоту. Кислота-матушка эта известна тем, что является канцерогеном третьего класса в соответствии с отчетами Международного агентства по изучению рака.
