These groynes at the beach near Porlock weir just seamed to catch the light of the early morning sun.

Kingfisher on its favourite perch - Lagan Towpath, Belfast

Crescent Bend Nature Park

A cormorant getting an eel the right way around for swallowing head first. Unlike cormorants I've watched taking eels on the Dee at Chester the bird made no attempt to kill the eel. The cormorant simply tossed the eel into the air, dropped it and recaptured it until it had hold of the right end. Then the eel was swallowed whole, wriggling furiously in the bird's throat.

i stood on a bench and looked down -- the catchlights are from the sky peeking through the trees.

Mit dem ausgewählten Thema wollen die Künstler das Thema ansprechen: „Wer fängt eigentlich wen und profitiert von wem?“

Ich finde diese Frage sehr interessant und man könnte diesen Faden gut weiter spinnen...........

Late Purple Sunset over the Lake in Leipzig.

Mid March and a trip to Worcestershire hoping to catch a a Kingfisher. It was a hard day with a long wait for the first visit and only one other very brief visit.

The Common Kingfisher is a small bird with unmistakable plumage. Its back is bright metallic blue and its breast is a coppery-brown. The beak is long and black, though females have a orange patch at the base.

Clutching her catch with her jaws and paw, she prepares to return to the beach and share her bounty with her cubs. Glaucous winged gulls are already well aware. They will share in whatever scraps are sure to float by in tidal waters. It’s another moment in a summer morning along the Alaskan shoreline.
