Just a fun shot of a sign I found out and about. I cloned out the little bit of the pole that was at the bottom of the sign, other than that, this is sooc.

A tiger catches the last light of the day at the Miami Zoo. It was kind of cold, but that kept the crowds down. It didn't bother the animals much.

I watched the local male Little owl catch this mouse in our garden during ‘No Mow May’. He was up high in one of the Apple trees looking down into the long grass when he suddenly swooped down silently and caught the mouse in his talons. Then flew up to this branch in the same tree to dispatch it. He then took it up to the roof void cavity to feed to his young.

Light: Profoto 600R with creative light gridded softbox camera right, two 22' fluorescent under cabinet lights camera right for catch lights, Profoto Acute B with gridded barn doors for rim light, black cloth background. Metered with Sekonic 358 and fired with PocketWizard.
After I shot, the guy came up to me and asked if I was shooting the tag on the wall. He himself was the tagger, he explained hopefully. "I want to catch some fame," he said and then trudged off to work his shift at the local Home Depot.

High Peak Trail near Cromford; as the notice on the left of the photo says, on this part of the old railway we're on a steep incline and runaway wagons could reach 120mph. After an accident involving a wagon carrying gunpowder (!), this catch pit was built in 1890; you could pull a lever and divert any runaways into the pit in the top centre of the picture.
