This Pelican 1150 case lived above my friend's house, where it protected a wireless Internet radio from the elements. One day after a rainstorm, his Internet stopped working and when he investigated, he discovered that a woodpecker had bored a hole through the case.
When I saw this desktop wallpaper from designsponge I immediately fell in love and wished I could wallpaper my life with it.

In addition to it being the wallpaper on my comp and iPad, I figured out how to put it on my phone as well.
I finally gave up on waiting for the white iPhone, and when I got the black one I chose the incase snap case (http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/cl59630/1). I figured I could try to put fabric between the phone and the case to cover the black. It turns out it was even easier than that- I just printed the wallpaper design on regular printer paper and cut it to fit in the case. It was so insanely easy and looks amazing in person.
Plus, I can swap it out for anything I can print....

Southeastern Virginia
The War of 1812 began to affect Southeastern Virginia during the summer of 1813. The British Navy blockaded the East Coast of the United States, restricting trade and hurting agricultural exports. They also conducted raids along the coast, but were unable to fully dedicate their armies due to the fact that they were still fighting Napoleon in Europe. In the largest battle of this part of the war, British soldiers attempted to land on Craney Island on 22 June 1813 as a precursor to their capture of Norfolk; however, they were repulsed by the forces of General Robert Taylor, a William & Mary graduate. Two days later, the British took revenge by burning the city of Hampton and continued their raids further up the Chesapeake Bay.
The main advantage the British had over the American armed forces was their navy. Judith Galt wrote to her brother that she had a hard time trying to find passage across the Chesapeake Bay due to British ships. After the destruction of Hampton, St. George Tucker wrote to his daughter that the British ships had left the area around Williamsburg after destroying more property.
William Browne was a doctor in Hampton during the town’s destruction and provided Alexander D. Galt with a description of the city. Galt asked if more doctors were needed, but Browne replied that the primary damage was to buildings and animals.

While the British had the advantage on the sea, the American army and militias prepared for land battles. Pleasants Murphy writes of an attempted raid on British ships in the York River, during which the attacking ship stayed out of range of their rifles.

Icing on the cake after winning the Championship Horse trophy is owning a nice case custom made to protect it.

St Mary the Great, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
A resolutely low church tradition here, but plenty of Catholics amongst the tourists.
By far the biggest medieval parish church in the city. A grand, urban East Anglian church right on the eve of the Reformation. There is much in common with Lavenham in Suffolk, and indeed the architect was probably John Wastrell, who was responsible for Lavenham and also Saffron Walden in Essex. 'St Mary the Great', or 'Great St Mary's' as it is commonly known, is the name of the church rather than the dedication, to differentiate it from St Mary the Less ('Little St Mary's') further down Trumpington Street. In both cases the dedication was to a feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Great St Mary points its long east end into the Market Hill. Despite sitting on the public square, St Mary the Great is the university church, and always has been. The patchwork of small parishes in the historic city centre is catered for by half a dozen other smaller churches within a stones throw. The interior is architecturally spectacular, although not particularly historically interesting as very little at all has survived from its Catholic days. One unusual later feature is a pretty Laudian font dated 1632, and that the 18th Century galleries, once a feature of most large urban churches, were never removed here.
Although the tower is by no means the highest building in the city (it is barely a hundred feet high) there are spectacular views from the top, looking out over the colleges to the north and west, and to the modern city to east and south.

A town hall-style parent’s meeting addressing recent criminal charges filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office against Cody Child Development Center caregiver Va Nessa Taylor brought nearly 20 mothers, fathers and guardians to Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall’s Spates Community Hall March 18.
Presiding over the hour meeting were Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region/Military District of Washington Commander Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan and JBM-HH Commander Col. Fern O. Sumpter. Also on the discussion panel were Child, Youth and School Services Coordinator Dawn Thompson, CDC Director Sunny Smith, Military District of Washington Staff Judge Advocate Col. Jim Agar and Criminal Investigation Division Special Agent Christina Cherolis, who personally worked on the case.
