Ezra 7:25 “Now you, Ezra, in keeping with the wisdom of your God which you possess, appoint judges and court officials who can arbitrate cases on behalf of all the people who are in Trans-Euphrates who know the laws of your God. Those who do not know this law should be taught.”

Another view of the fallen tree seen in a previous post here in Bushy Park. This time there is a dog walker standing close by giving a sense of scale . This tree is another victim of the recent storms and this tree is one of around 40 that were blown over .

Almost a case off - The bigger they are - the harder they fall , and that eternal question is , Did it make a sound ??

There were some very nice displays in the cases lined up against this back wall of the Live Oak Civic Center building at the SWGMS gem and mineral show this year.

"This memorial installation illustrates the devastating human and economic cost of the pandemic —and the urgency for local and federal elected officials to act now to meet the real need in our state.

Please join us to honor those who have died. And take action to urge elected officials to take bold action today. No one should have to plant a single flag more."

👎 Rejection:

☞ The administrator of the Flickr group, Georgia USA —a group specifically for and about people and places in Georgia— deemed this photo inappropriate and rejected it.

🏆 That being said, Flickr's editors, on 2 March 2021, selected it for inclusion in Flickr's Explore.

My son has dropped his cat, Ciri, around for the night as his landlord is replacing the carpet prior to selling the property. So it could be that he will be house hunting sometime soon. But Ciri will miss him I think. She's not going outside in case she strays, I'm not used to cat sitting!:))

How the plague began! Foster Yeoman's General Motors Electro-Motive Division SW1001 'switcher' at Merehead Quarry during the quarry company's 75th Anniversary celebrations on 28 June, 1998. The impressive reliability of this rugged little loco led to the purchase of the privately-owned Class 59 fleet from EMD, which in turn inspired the Class 66 series which has dominated UK freight haulage for a quarter of a century, replacing hundreds of former British Railways locos dating from the 1950s and 1960s. Note that this location is within the quarry site and not usually accessible to the public.

Planning for the Lunar Eclipse With TPE 3D

In case you haven’t heard, there’s going to be a total lunar eclipse this week in some parts of the world. That includes western North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, and eastern Asia.

If you want to photograph the eclipse, you first have to figure out where and when it will be visible. You might also want to find an interesting foreground. In my latest blog post I explain how to figure out the moon's position in relation to the landscape using The Photographer's Ephemeris 3D:

www.michaelfrye.com/2021/05/23/planning-for-the-lunar-ecl...

And I also link to another post that describes, in detail, how to photograph a lunar eclipse.

I photographed this lunar eclipse sequence in 2011 in the Sierra Nevada foothills. In this photo the moon was setting to the west-northwest just before sunrise. In the upcoming eclipse, the moon will also be setting just before sunrise for viewers in the western U.S. – but to the southwest.
