Its been a while since a last posted a waterfall, so herre is a small part of the waterfall near the Watkin Path on the lower slopes of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). I had just come down from the outlier peak Yr Aran, and it was good to get out of the wind.
One of most photographed cascades in Blaen y Glyn, but it would be rude not to put my take on it!

This is just before sunset on a Friday afternoon at Albion Falls with the colours really showing all around the gorge from the viewing deck
A very long fallen branch reaches out over the river bank while a cascade of colors lines the background bank.
Final cascade on the Cascade River before it empties into Lake Superior. This cascade is just a short walk off of Highway 61 if you pull out at the CCC wayside. This is all part of Cascade River State Park near Grand Marais, Minnesota.
This was taken on my way up to Ramona Falls on Sunday. The trail followed the stream for quite a ways and had countless little cascades. This setting (and light) was just too nice to walk past.
Purakaunui Falls on the Southern Scenic Route, New Zealand. Prettiest falls in the south in my humble opinion.

From an underground river that releases at the head of a short canyon, with the water descending to the Camil and into the Bonnette and Aveyron rivers. The waterfall is less than a kilometre from a second and more famous falls (see below). The falls are probably between 10 and 20m in total.

A brook cascades over the rocks in the rugged White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Nestled near Crawford Notch. this could have been the setting for a painter from the Hudson River School, Their work has always been an inspiration and an approach to capturing the landscape that I keep in mind.
I find that light varies by region. For me, the light in these mountains is different than the light in the Smokies.

After some refreshments back at the car we moved on from Glen Affric to nearby Glen Cannich.
The conditions had turned dull and grey so when the big landscape shots didn't appeal, we resorted to the regular fallback option of the riverside.
This is a series of cascades on the River Cannich.

Cette cascade est alimentée par la Cuisance, qui prend sa source au coeur de la reculée des Planches et ressurgit par de nombreuses cavités, creusées dans le tuf, une roche calcaire d'origine sédimentaire. De là vient son nom de cascade des Tufs. Ces multiples sorties occasionnent plusieurs cascades qui tombent dans les bassins du Dar et offrent ainsi un spectacle naturel extraordinaire.

Taken on a trip to Glen Strathfarrar with Steve (Stoates).
After exploring the remains of the old graphite mine we were drawn to the sound of rushing water further along the river. Rather than an impressive waterfall we found a series of cascades where the River Farrar steps down a small incline through a number of smaller channels, it was still a nice scene worthy of some more time spent with the camera.
Last night, I took my son to a local place - Bass Creek - for an after dinner stroll. I've been to this creek many times as it is close to where I live, but I have never been there at the right time of day with the right equipment for a photograph of the creek itself. This time, I was intentional about setting myself up to get a picture. Here is just one of many cascades on one of dozens of creeks in Montana's Bitterroot Valley.
